Instead of Holiday pay Walmart has decided to offer a 15 percent discount for its employees.

From the Walmart employees that I know, whether they be family, neighbors or otherwise. These nikkas gunna end up spending that money at Walmart anyway, with or without the discount. So while I look at it as if its some bullshyt, the ones I know don't give a fukk. Most of their presents and all of their food was coming from Walmart anyway.

Depending on how big the bonus is in contrast to how much they were already going to spend at the store, the discount may end up being better for some. Sucks for the ones who had no intentions of spending a single cent at Walmart though, they caught a raw one.

A bonus isn't something you're owed unless it's negotiated into your contracted compensation package. If you don't hold a position that warrants you having a contracted compensation package or commission based bonuses then you ain't owed one just cause A Christmas Story started coming on.

Until a few years ago, they slid employees a time and a half bonus for Christmas Day even though the stores closed at 8 on the 24th and don’t open back up til like 1 AM on the 26th (Don’t know how other stores operated, but this is from personal experience).

This year employees from my old store not only are getting that tossed to the bushes, but their reported pay bump up to $14-15 an hour got bushed too.

Facts. Same in banking, before I was an officer of the company and just an hourly employee, I wasn’t entitled to any bonuses. Now that I’m salary, a bonus is actually part of my compensation. Walmart is trash, but giving a bonus is at the companies discretion.

I don't have the slightest clue breh. I just know the movements of some of the people I know who have/currently work there. But what they earn, their bonuses, the discounts etc. I'm not privy to.

From my personal experience, people who work at Walmart, tend to shop at Walmart.

yup i use to work macy warehouse and used that 25% discount heavy. shyt counted towards the clearance rack too. I use to get nice shirts and jeans for like $4
