Instead of Holiday pay Walmart has decided to offer a 15 percent discount for its employees.

I use to work for Walmart until they accused me of stealing and they fired me :scust:

Same happened to me when I worked for Sam's Club. I was getting harassed and threatened for months because they thought I stole from the cigarette cage too after 3 girls got fired for doing so prior. I never worked at the cage but they were trying to get something cause I was cool with them. Eventually I got fired after cussing out a cave bytch from accounting that threatened my job in front of a customer. I'm ringing someone up and she asks me, "Do you wanna get fired or what?" A customer paid part cash, part check earlier that day and the hoe tried to accuse me of pocketing the check. Of course they found it the day after they fired me:mjpls:

What was more :mindblown: was that I could've got my job back three months later. The hoe from accounting transferred to another store across town.

I randomly recieved numerous settlement checks for the next six years and cashed out my stock six months after I got fired so I can get the most back .

So I got the last laugh:umad:

2.2 billion increase in revenue boost thanks to the "tax cuts and jobs act"

15% discount for employees

That's the total opposite of trickle down economics

:russ:

Nope. Trickle down economics was always the rich reaping spoils and the workers getting peanuts. This is right in line with that

There is a regulation preventing a discount on milk???

And they weren’t already getting discount groceries???

:dahell:

And the stores are always a mess, and only 4 checkout lanes have cashiers, so what are they doing at work?

Get discounts on everything except produce, dairy and some frozen items.

Facts. Same in banking, before I was an officer of the company and just an hourly employee, I wasn’t entitled to any bonuses. Now that I’m salary, a bonus is actually part of my compensation. Walmart is trash, but giving a bonus is at the companies discretion.

I've only known like 4 people ever who worked at Walmart...

Kinda unrelated, but my job in the restaurant industry is trying some new shyt that I think is fishy. Still eligible for bonuses and shyt as I'm in a management role, but I'm "mid-management". The company just consolidated with a bunch of other brands over the last 2 years and is now rolling out this thing, effective December 9, that if you aren't upper-management (basically GM or AGM), your salary is being converted to hourly, and your salary isn't guaranteed until 50 hours, at which time you now get OT but you have to hit 50 on the dot to have your salary guaranteed...

I'm not feeling it, I mean my hourly rate is relatively high based on my salary, but unlike a regular hourly employee I dont accrue OT until 50 hours. I typically average 45-46 hours/week, last two weeks since this took effect I worked 43.83 the first week, 45 on the dot this past week...

So all together I'm projecting a 10% decline on my checks going forward for every week I dont see 50, sounds like bullshyt to me, but they dressed it up that it protects all the people nationwide who are working 50+. Those people all get their salaries guaranteed plus OT, but for the minority of us who don't work 50, it looks like it will be taking money from us, whereas prior to 12/9, if I worked 38 or 52 hours, my salary was guaranteed...

My unit hasn't bonused since October we missed it by 0.5% in November, but apparently we still get bonuses the same at my level, which is pretty generous (can get monthly, quarterly, annual bonuses; at my pay grade it's about 25% of a regular check)...

But my purpose in posting this is it seems like all service sector jobs (retail, culinary, hotels, etc) cut major corners to save the big wigs money and short the muhfukkas actually putting in the work. My company is now part of a larger conglomerate with four other well-known chains, something like 12,000 units nationally, and I keep telling muhfukkas this shyt they dressing up like it's to help us is window dressing...

We sure they even had a bonus?:patrice:
I have a relative that worked there for 10 years before he finally left, I think the 10-year mark is also when employees earn 10% off but I'm not sure. I know that 2 or 3 years ago his Christmas bonus was $80:mjlol:But like others said Walmart Management is full of haters, but I can't judge since I work an Amazon gig on the side.
