Dusty wasn't more over than Sting at any point so he damn sure can't be in the top 5 names in wrestling history. That's absurd. And Sting was ultra over before Taker even had the Undertaker gimmick. Before Bret was pushed as a single's top main eventer. Before they even thought about turning Michaels heel against Jannetty.

Taker wouldn't be anywhere close to that. He was never EVER as over as Bryan in 2013. Piper? LMAO. Macho and Warrior..ok. You can mention them because they filled up 70,000 plus arenas like Bryan did once upon a time.

The fact that you LMAO @ Piper's popularity proves you don't know what you think you know. Granted, you probably only caught him when he was on his Jericho shyt, poppin' back up for a few months and then fallin' back... but at his peak, he was part of a thing bigger than DB has ever been a part of. Y'all are killin' me with this madness.

No.

It's a case of....

The greater majority of people ALWAYS think the newest "popular" is greater than the old "popular"
No. There is ONE Andre the Giant. One Hulk Hogan. One Austin. One Rock. After that, you can debates peaks and heights that you've seen with crowds and impact. That's about it.

I don't have to claim $hit. All I have to do is show anyone with sense the end of his WM 29 match and how WM XXX ended in general. You ain't NEVER, EVER seen the crowd do that for Goldberg, Taker, Shawn, Bret, Foley, etc.
Goldberg pinning hogan in atl was as hot as any night ever
And idgaf u bytch i told u dont respond to me until u admit i was right about daniel bryan career being done...u a bytch

You better go back and watch that era my friend
Watched it every week growing up and you're acting like he was having crowds go crazy like Bryan in 2013? What the HELL are you thinking over there? You got to be coked out to think that:laugh:

Jake the Snake and Razor was bigger than that. They had Dusty dancing with Sapphire with $hit as a comedy face. WTF:laugh:

Your father is a bytch, you wack ass little short nygga. Who you talking tough to, white boy? Send your ass on the run like your whole crew around here. Now..I said HEIGHT for HEIGHT, you ain't NEVER SEEN anything like the end of WM XXX and that's that. 40,000 strong was a good night for Goldberg..70,000 strong was excellence though. Common sense.

I fukk w/ Bryan all day but this thread is downright delusional. Most people who haven't watched WWE in the last 5 years don't know who the hell DB is. So how would he ever be more popular than someone who was a top star when the company was mainstream?

Dusty Rhodes was the face they used to keep the Horsemen heel...they kind of cheered the Horsemen over him in certain spots. They never did that shyt with Sting. So his peak doesn't see a top 5 mention. That's utterly insane and his peak damn sure isn't anywhere near that Cage moment.

Those people don't watch to day from when it was mainstream so whoever is being mentioned as above him that you think is slighted? Don't count. Cripple H is coming out to silence every week. Taker getting booed against Lesnar? LOL. Michaels coming out to indifference for almost 3 years now? hahaha...Bret is the one who still gets a star reaction though. Him and the soul of Macho Man Randy Savage still living on.

you guys gotta stop using specific moments and arenas to highlight a wrestler's popularity or lack thereof.

"hey my guy HAS to be more popular because at in your house 97 in pittsburgh he was getting big pops while your guy was getting booed by half the crowd."

^ big fukkin whoop. it doesn't mean anything. you gotta look at the overall picture.

as for bryan, come on son. top 4? he would be lucky to crack a top 15-20. his time on top was too short and took place in an era where wrestling is nowhere near the forefront of pop culture.

i can't put daniel bryan in the same class as mick foley because foley came up in an era where wayyy more people were watching. i mean think about how many more people witnessed the emergence of mick foley as a wrestling superstar than daniel bryan. it's not even comparable. when foley's book came out it topped the best seller's list for like 4 straight weeks. i wonder how many copies of daniel bryan's book got sold... i bet you it's nowhere near.

sure daniel bryan main evented a wrestlemania and got huge pops but look at the era. i highly, highly doubt he would have been a main event player if he were competing against the same guys foley had to compete with.

SUMMARY:

much respect to bryan but no... just no.
