Is it time for WWE to move forward with WrestleMania being on two nights?

People who come to WrestleMania, most of them anyway, ain't there for one night anyway. They've been selling packages for the last few years, where you can make a whole weekend out of it and attend more than just one night.. and given the size of their roster at this point, it would make perfect sense to make it a two night event, where you pay a flat fee to see both shows. Two 3 1/2 hr shows is a much better idea than a 7 hour show, which Mania has become since 2016. Either that or they can go back to a shorter show which also means a lotta people get left off the show... which would become another topic of complaint.

Your take is fair, but if more and more matches are going to be added to the card, Wrestlemania quickly becomes a 6 hour event at minimum. At what point do you draw the line?

Doubt it. Double venue fee, as well as staff/crew.

But they'll be double the cost of running two nights in a stadium and may run the risk that fans may not turn up to both nights equally and eventually the narrative will be that one night is more important than the other.

WM has never really had a settled date. Next year it is the 28th March. Not like say the Rumble which everyone knows is the last Sunday of January

Nah. I dont like it for the same reason I don't like the brand split..it oversaturates and makes everything less important. Less is more. Why have a wrestlemania without centralizing and solidating the show, the champions, etc? Its like the superbowl being the NFC championship game on Saturday and the AFC championship game on Sunday.

I feel like in order to fill stadiums 2 days in a row....WWE would have to do a world title tourney like New japan did @ Wrestle Kingdom and they'd probably need to bush the Takeover show and put those matches on the mania cards.

If Mania occupies that Saturday and they let Takeover stand alone, NXT's attendance will probably suffer b/c they have to go head to head with a NJPW/ROH Supercard more than likely.

They punked NXT off of that Saturday last year in NY/NJ.

honestly they should make a 3 night event

Part 1 Smackdown - Wrestlmania Friday on Fox in Arena. A few undercard matches and main event uninterpted by commerical. Maybe a DB vs Sammy Zayn Main Event
Part 2 Saturday - Similiar to what we got this year. Include any pretaped show on this night and sprinkle in some high profile matches & NXT matches
Part 2 Sunday - Main Card with most of the title but limited to 6-8 matches and ending by 11 in the stadium

no batle royals
no nonsense tag matches
over 3 nights you should be able to get all major talent on the card
and pay all the wreslters their bonuses as if they participated in the main card

with damn near an hour show on sunday, next on saturday & smackdown on FOX thats they would already do 3 nights of programming.
might as well make it official and call it wrestlmania weekend
