He was the top draw in wrestling at every point in his career and he held the belt longer than the Rock & Stone Cold combined.

He was a top draw in the late 70s? Or the early 90s when fans started openly booing him? Same in 94-96 when he popped a nice buyrate for batb94 but did nothing until Nash and Hall came along? In 99 when he went back to red and yellow? Or TNA. Austin has never flopped on top.

If we're talking from a performance perspective and not from a legacy or popularity perspective then there's no way that the Rock, Flair and the Undertaker aren't in your top 3 (in no particular order). When it came to performances, charisma and overall being good workers there's no better choices

He was the top draw for the Entire 80's which was the Greatest Era in Wrestling History.

And then he saved Wrestling again in the mid 90's after leaving to do movies.

Top 5 for me in no order: Hogan, Rock, Stone Cold, Flair, and Randy Savage.

Warrior was slightly before my time so I didn't get the hype with him. Plus his promos were :dahell:.

In terms of overall package, people like Undertaker, Jake the Snake, Piper, HBK, Bret Hart, and Mr. Perfect would be ranked ahead of Warrior for me.

Alot of people think that which is why it's hard to keep Warrior out of the top 5.

Warrior > Stone Cold

you gotta clarify man. i see where you're comin from but you gotta clarify.

greatness is defined in so many different ways.

i think when people give a general top 5, or when people usually ask for a basic top 5... i think the one thing most people take into account more than anything else is drawing power. how BIG were they a draw and how LONG were they a draw.

in the scope of wrestling history, even though warrior was an absolute MONSTER draw and one of biggest wrestling superstars of all time... it doesn't compare to what austin did. austin was the hogan of his day and also the hogan for an entire new generation. dude basically REDEFINED the role of the wrestling hero when the last person to do that prior to him was hogan himself.

dude was the biggest face during a golden age of wrestling.

So you are going to say Austin only had a 3 year run but Warrior had an even shorter year run(and flopped) but now hes GOAT?

Warrior was the best promo of his time.

the shyt said about him afterwards is said in jealousy... by many of whom who were jealous of his success.

I'm saying that Warrior is a much closer debate to Stone Cold.

There is absolutely no debate that Hogan is the God of Pro Wrestling.

Even Jordan had Kobe and Lebron on his heels.

Hogan is so far ahead of any wrestler ever there is no comparison to his greatness.

And stopped watching him when Austin blew up and never turned back.

right. hogan passed the baton. or rather austin took it from him.

but you're arguing that austin also ran further with it as well.

austin at no point during any time in his career, even during the height of the attitude era, was he as popular as hulk hogan. and mind you yes i'm acknowledging that austin was a fukkin god of his day and was one of the most popular athletes on earth.

hogan was the first of his kind. the one that set the mold.

hogan's competition was jordan. tyson. gretzky. montana. hogan was just as famous as all of those guys.
