Hogan was the top face of all time, and the top heel. He is the only person to change the face of wrestling in two different organizations. :kawhiblessed:

The kilq and especially DX were always basically overgrown fratboys so yeah. Racist, toilet humor, gay innuendo and general douchebaggery all pretty standard.

There's levels to this shyt

Hogan
Austin
Rock

Andre
Macho Man
Undertaker
Flair
Cena

Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart should not be a part of the conversation. NOBODY other than wrestling fans know who they are. Vince rides their dikks cause they were the only "stars" he had in the mid 90's. Sting, Goldberg, Lesnar, Warrior, are much bigger stars than those two.

And I agree fukk Shawn Michaels.

You are correct, I was wrong about the fact that he was de-pushed when the Outsiders got there. However, the fact that he was de-pushed because they were pushing ex-WWF wrestlers remains true.

They were getting an injection of Vince's stars and were pushing them ahead of the homegrown/Southern style wrestlers. Again, they preferred to push veterans over their younger talent.

NEG... Austin wasnt even in WCW when The Outsiders got there.

Stone Cold is the GOAT. It's not even debatable. :mindblown:

Jim Ross - "Nobody touches Austin. He did more financially – box office bottom line – than anybody in the annals of the business thus far. And certainly, others like The Rock have taken it to another level after the business, but inside the business, inside the squared circle – that 20 foot square – no-one generated more cash in the length of their WWE career."

Vince McMahon - "He [Austin] surpassed all of [Hulk] Hogan's records... in terms of merchandising and licensing, and pay-per-view and live events. Without question the most popular performer we've ever had."

John Cena - "'The Texas Rattlesnake' [Steve Austin], he certainly is the biggest name in the history of our business. [Asked if Austin is 'bigger than Hulk Hogan'] Austin 3:16 is the biggest marquee in the history of the WWE."

CM Punk - "Austin [is] the biggest star in the wrestling business, period. Bigger than Hulk Hogan, by a landslide."

Ric Flair - "Austin is the biggest star in the history of the WWE. I'm so tired of saying [Hulk] Hogan's the biggest star of all time – it ends tonight."

:scust:

How is the biggest star/draw in the histroy of the sport being questioned? HOW DARE YOU MAKE THIS fukkING THREAD!?!?!?!? Ima NEG your non wrestling watching ass to the moon.

Austin was everything, he was a GOD. nikkas will NEVER hear those Attitude Era POPS again. nikkas NEVER even heard them before him, and they won't hear them after him...

My Top Fiznive

1. Austin (Biggest Draw in the Biggest Era, and Casts the biggest Shadow over wrestling to this very day.)

2.
Hogan (He paved the road, and is the 2nd biggest star. When you say wrestling most people know him, Rock & SCSA)

3.
Flair (Longevity and Contribution, he drew alot of money in different era(s), he's like the LL Cool J of wrestling)

4.
Rock (Biggest transitional star, can't deny his place)

5.
Michaels (Greatest In Ring Worker of All Time, Drew like shyt tho and everyone knows it.)

+

6. John Cena (I personally dont like him, but he's over. I know people like to make every excuse in the book as to why. But SOMEBODY love's him. He has classic's, he has the numbers, longevity, I mean... :manny:)

You nikkas really think the attitude era was bigger than Hulkamania :mjlol: Austin sold more merch, yes. But that's because merch was far more widely available in the late 90s. I haven't researched it but I bet NWO merch sold more than Austin anyways. Hogan was the biggest draw ever in his prime tho.

Compare these ratings to the prime of the Attitude Era if you don't believe :bryan:

I agree with you but if different eras of merch availability is unfair to compare, then certainly so are different eras of ratings.

When Stone Cold was at his peak, it was a level that no wrestler ever reached before.

But, it did not last that long and towards the end, he was pretty played out.

I can't put Stone Cold in my top 5 all time, if you're talking total package.

HBK would be tho

Cena nor Flair with Hogan in the room...they're weak flip floppers. And no one has ever called Austin a bigger star than Rock in his presence..

Austin is not close to being a bigger star than Hogan and i think the Rock was a bigger star than Austin from the attitude era also.
