I think jay could pull it off.

He could bring out:

Bey
Drake
Coldplay
Linkin Park
The Roots
Justin Timberlake
Alicia Keys
Bruno Mars (could use him on the hook for one of his songs, maybe HKL or Rock My World remix)
Timberland
Pharell
and/or, long stretch, Kanye.

add it some live instrumentation, dancers, and stage shyt. Id be satisfied.

Yeah, I'm a full on Jay stan from way back. He would have to do it like this to pull it off. The other articles I read the last couple days mention that they may have been trying to get Him and Timberlake to perform together and do it. They both could have pulled in their collaborators and made it big. But would they really have timberlake back ? It's been long enough..

Facts...these nikkas love to come on here and belittle hip hop's prominence in American entertainment. It's befuddling.

Jay would absolutely kill the halftime show. He's got several huge hits that would play very well during that 20 minute set (99 Problems, Hardknock Life, New York, etc).
Cacs exposing themselves. Bu bu but U2 would be better :damn:

Jay could absolutely do it. Stage presence is way more than theatrics. I've been to four of his concerts and he killed it every time. The only guests during the shows I saw him was some of the roc-a-fella artists. He ain't gone be running around the stage jumping around and doing all that. But the flow, the clarity of the lyrics, command of the stage was all on point.

Being a great performer isnt about having classics, its about stage presence and he doesnt have much...he stands in one spot doing a two step...Ive been to 2 of his shows and the crowd wasnt into it much after the buzz of him coming out on stage....Hes a boring performer and its not going to get better in his late 40s...

yea, i'm starting to doubt you've actually been to a jay show.....he doesnt just stand there and 2 step; and the crowds are always into his shows....in fact, during watch the throne tour, more people were into his solo part than ye's....but why let the truth get in the way of whatever slander you trying to say, continue on....

:russ: Tf this is

it's from the yeezus tour...it was actually a hot moment cause that's when he goes into 'runaway'....he starts off by playing the intro to the beat in the dark, then a spotlight comes on him from overhead as he continues...as the spotlight gets bigger, he gets into more of the beat, then the beat finally drops and he goes in.....that shyt was hot as hell....

Bonnie & Clyde
Encore
Show Me What You Got
Roc Boys
Run This Town
Young Forever
Holy Grail
Tom Ford

^ These plus a few others would work there. His catalog is too strong not to be able to perform in almost any setting, which is evident by all the festivals he headlines.
+ In Paris. + 99 problems. + Bring out people for clique. + Empire State of Mind. + PSA + U Don't Know. + Dirt Off Your Shoulder. + On to the Next One. Are these people serious?

No they wouldn't. I'm sorry.

You got to figure the majority of people at the Super Bowl know Jay-Z as Beyonce's husband and the guy who made "New York" with Alicia Keys.

They don't know or respect Jay-Z as the rapper.

Flo Rida and Pitbull would be a better choice and no I'm not joking.

so, the audience wouldnt know jay z for his music, but they knew the who? the rolling stones? coldplay?...they'd know florida? lol...yall trippin...jay would do fine at the sb, he's one of the most known rappers ever, and he has the hits to keep people rocking for 30 mins....which is all he'd have to do....all he gotta do is perform for 30-45 mins....which he can easily do by doing his hits, and bringing beyone, riri, etc. out for a song or 2....

Not a single lie told.

I stood for the whole show, but I can't get the image out of my head of turning around during Kanye's solo part when he was standing on that box.

I turned around and 40-50% of the people I could see were sitting down. I felt like an idiot because I was literally the only person in my row still standing. Kanye's part was damn near an intermission. Nobody sat during Jay's solo medley.

This isn't to say that a Kanye SB show wouldn't be tailored to get the crowd amped up, but I was with a girl who didn't know Jay's solo shyt like that and she was still standing during "Where I'm From" and she didn't even know the shyt.

Jay is a showman.

Point blank period.
