Yeah, they never anticipated Willis going down, too. Boreland was the insurance plan for in case Whiloite didn't work out with Willis, but I don't think they envisioned being without both Bowman and Willis.

We'll know by Tuesday if Bowman is going to even attempt to play this year or not; Basically, if they don't activate him from the PUP list then, he won't play this season.

yep, theres only so much positional depth you can have, especially with two all-pros at position that fields max of 2.

thats a good point, I wonder if people knew about Pat's problems before the season.
we only have one ILB after that which is Moody. but that is a downside to having two all-pros at ILB. a lot of teams dont even carry 4 ILBs since they dont play every down. we are one of the exceptions

Yeah, like Pat said this been a problem for years.

I mean was Borland specifically groomed for Pat's backup or both backup ILB spots.

Either way, while he has played very well, ya never know with that either. This team is literally hanging on by a thread on defense

fangio will get a ton of offers for HC after this year, whether or not harbaugh stays, imo

Only thing that been helping us w/ Fangio is his age, you don't see a lot of teams going after older HC candidates

shyt, as i`m writing this find out this dude is only 56.

He looks older than that.

so bowman basically is an extremely long shot to come back this year at all

i think they were hoping for late nov but he'll come back if they make the playoffs, it should be close to 11-12 months recovery time, not everybody can be like ap

im pretty sure brooks can move inside, hes athletic enough if either guy gets hurt

i doubt it, depends on the team if they already have a qb or not, if they dont which most crappy teams dont there going after a oc to groom a young qb

some guys are just not meant to be hc's like a norv

Brooks played ILB in Cincy but was overweight and a head case but he has the talent

But if Fangio does leave, we could promote Tomsula to DC, so it wouldn't be a huge blow or anything. tbh, i'm more worried about Tomsula getting poached.

He has done great work with our d-line and was the interim HC when Singletary got canned, so the organization clearly trusts him with the responsibility. The players seem to love him and he has a great attitude. I think he could do a good job at DC.
