If the NBA doesn't receive a bigger TV deal than MLB, than they have fukking failed as far as I'm concerned.
Why do people keep bragging about NBA being a global sport.
Most of us live in America, why are we bragging that people in China watch the same thing as us.
Who cares. Some people consider cricket to be a global sport.
In America NBA isn't the most popular sport, players don't get paid the most.
NFL contracts do suck, but not affecting my pockets. And I like NBA as well, but the little brother syndrome is annoying.

Can't expect a 16 game. 53 man sport to pay the same salaries as an 80+ game, 12 man sport.
It's simple math....the very fact that the NFL makes more money than the NBA is a testament to how they're ahead of a curve that should be against them

The math needs to be worked out on this. The total income has to be divided by the number of players, then well be better be able to gauge the disparity, if there is any.
Becaue @Malta believes it's better for the NBA to have a player from Croatia dominate the game instead of someone from the US

But as an aside..if you saw there was some genre of music that you thought needed less skill or less sacrifice than the genre you were in..wouldn't you think you are worth more than what was given to you?

The MLB plays 162 games in stadiums that hold 40,000-60,000 people. NBA's revenues jumped with the new TV deal that's why the cap skyrocketed and it will continue to jump next year.

I think theres 12-13 players max on NBA teams. In the NFL, there's 11 on offense and 11 on defense, theres special teams nikkas, kickers, punters, offensive coach, defensive coach, linebacker coaches etc. Theres more people to pay. Simple math..
Trainers, doctors, way more coaches, equipment, uniforms, bigger facilities, 8 games per owner (excluding playoffs), blackouts (buy remaining tix to show it on TV), hard salary cap, etc.
A lot of expenses but the players should still be like f that, pay me.
NFL
13 billion / 32 = 406,250,000. If things are evenly distributed among teams this is what each team would get. 406,250,000/53 (the number of players on a team) = 7,665,094.34. That leaves an average of 7.7 million per player. No bills have been paid yet either.
NBA
5 billion / 30 = 166,666,666. Making the same assumptions as above. 166,666,666/15 = 11,1 million per player. Again, no bills have been paid.
I'm not gonna pretend to know the operating costs of the nfl or the nba. If operating costs are equal there's not enough money to give nfl players nba money. They need to downsize the rosters. Players in the nfl are more likely to get guaranteed contracts.
