NFL
13 billion / 32 = 406,250,000. If things are evenly distributed among teams this is what each team would get. 406,250,000/53 (the number of players on a team) = 7,665,094.34. That leaves an average of 7.7 million per player. No bills have been paid yet either.

NBA
5 billion / 30 = 166,666,666. Making the same assumptions as above. 166,666,666/15 = 11,1 million per player. Again, no bills have been paid.

I'm not gonna pretend to know the operating costs of the nfl or the nba. If operating costs are equal there's not enough money to give nfl players nba money. They need to downsize the rosters. Players in the nfl are more likely to get guaranteed contracts.

Breh, i get that, but nba Role players are getting 2-3 times as much money as nfl superstars

Look at the numbers you posted and tell me if that makes sense

The math needs to be worked out on this. The total income has to be divided by the number of players, then well be better be able to gauge the disparity, if there is any.
You also have to take into how many coaches and scouts are also on the payroll.
They probably triple that of the NBAs.

Why does bring a role player change anything? The math is simply against NFL players, period.

Nfl players shouldnt make what nba players make, but the gap is much bigger than what it should be

Thats simple math, period.

This is a response? You're mad salty breh

Nah im not, you still the homie

Theres 11.1 mil for every nba player, 7.7 for each nfl player if we divide everything evenly based on revenue. The salaries in real life arent that close though.

Nfl revenue is 2.6 times greater than nba revenue, but the Nfl salary cap is only 1.6 times greater than the nba.....this doesnt even factor in nba teams having the ability to go over the cap or having fully guaranteed contracts

This really is simple math. Nfl players are getting fukked compared to nba guys. You cant argue against this and support it with data.

The biggest way I see NFL players are getting fukked is by the lack of guranteed contracts. I don't think the math takes into account the amount of overhead it takes to pay the number of coaches on each team either.

I find it hard to feel that NFL players are getting fukked outside of the guarantee

The MLB plays 162 games in stadiums that hold 40,000-60,000 people. NBA's revenues jumped with the new TV deal that's why the cap skyrocketed and it will continue to jump next year.
MLB can do whatever they want NBA can as well, doesn't change the fact that NFL players have the worse union and that the players themselves are the most short-sighted dumbest motherfukkers on the planet.

Yeah its not factoring in operating costs.

Whats the revenue split percetages between owners/coaches in the nfl? Nba is 51/49

If anythinf, nfl guys should get a bigger cut than nba guys imo with the cte and lack of guaranteed contracts

well the first thing the NFLPA has to do is to get a rigrous look at the NFL's books.....

because If you bringing in 13 billion dollars with 32 teams I am curious what is soaking up the dollars that you have these type of unguaranteed contracts, a franchise tag, a mediocre medical plan....

and lets not forget bullshyt arbitration rules

These same owners go and cry to the taxpayers for public money for stadiums and other concessions
