Astrology is real and it is a science but the problem is people always confuse commercialized astrology (the bullshyt in the newspapers) with the real thing.

If you were to give an astrologist your EXACT birth time they can give you a map of your life that will blow you away. Whether you're ignorant to it or not, a natal chart is the window the universe's/God's soul. It's usually all there.

You have to learn the 12 houses in addition to the 12 signs and their meanings. There's also a great deal of geometry that goes along with it. You're dealing with angles and aspects as well as different degrees.
No not all Scoprios at or look the same because all scorpios have different aspects in their chart. Not everyone's sun sign is as strong in their life. Everyone's chart is unique but you will see many people with things things in their chart which makes them have similar characteristics.

To be honest, your rising sign (aka your ascendant) will probably be the sign that most people recognize before your Sun sign because it's the mask that you wear to the outside world.

Like dude said, many of you should actually learn how astrology works before discrediting it.

see if something happens with your home and family that is not likely to happen often ...like lets say u guys move into a new home that day, or theres a family party or reunion, or a situation with a family member comes to a tipping point..etc

full moons have alot of energy..it can be dramatic sometimes..

It's not even a matter of getting the basics down. People are just closed minded and refuse to even make an effort to understand because it's been commercialized and made into a joke.

An astrologer I never met a day in my life told me I broke my left arm when I was younger just from looking at my birth chart and seeing Mars was in a critical degree (0 degrees) in Capricorn among other things. I've learned so much about myself through astrology and regularly use it to help me in life.

You can tell so much about a person's personality, their life, their troubles just from getting a person's birth time and looking at their birth chart & progressions. It's truly a science that people spend YEARS studying.

dont know much about this but im an aries but my b-day is april 18th so my wife always tells me i have taurus traits as well as aries cause im near the end but yesterday i was home all day taking care of my kids cause they was sick throwing up. kinda nuts

The 5th house rules over children too..so makes sense.. what always gets to me is u gotta remember who ever is around u, its also a full moon for them , I sometimes try to connect all the dots and see what happens to them for their sign....but some people actually have to know their rising sign to get a better prediction..but I try to keep it simple..like lets say ur an Aries sun but a Virgo ascendant, u wud have to put them together..an example is u will have a "loss"[virgos 12th house] in ur love life [aries 5th]..but its easier just to follow thr sun sign..it is more dominate in ur core personality for most ppl [imo]..the rising is the way u conduct urself in public or ur first instincts when dealing with new ppl. Or just the first impression u give off to people..etc

Its not a proper test, I honestly feel there Is a way to prove astrology..we just need more scientists that have really studied it and know its true ..I feel it could happen in our lifetime with all the advances...I think anyone that knows astrology knows all the tests that prove it wrong are bullshyt...I mean u can tell the way they do it wouldn't give you good results even if it was a fact that astrology is real...for instance there was one experiment where a guy hands out a general personality description to everyone and they all agree that it matches them even tho its the same description...that doesn't prove astrology wrong, be cuz the 12 signs are not generalized as a whole...there really is 12 different signs that u can outline in a few words thatshows drastic differences. For instance if I made a description for all signs..the only sign that I would mention as a talkative person would be gGemini be cuz they r the sign of communication...so I wouldn't put that for another sign or else u wouldn't b able to distinguish...there for the test that proves astrology is wrong based on generality doesn't mean anything..becuz any intelligent person that studies the signs knows there is cleary 12 different ones..so it just shows ignorance by the people trying to prove it wrong in stupid ways

some things to consider when dealing with astrology...

1. there's a lot of fake astrology stuff floating around, so it's easy to generalize about the entire field of astrology and say the whole thing is bogus, but that would be untrue.

2. as human beings we are affected mentally, emotionally, and physically by the movement and placement of celestial bodies, and there are several concrete examples demonstrating this. the only debate is to what degree are we affected.

3. an important thing to understand about astrology is that it measures PROBABILITIES. there's obviously a huge different between probable and inevitable, so people have to level their expectations when it comes to determining outcomes. especially when human free will is the x factor that ultimately decides which outcome will manifest.

4. another important thing to understand is astrology deals in archetypal energy. archetypal energy is a primal form of energy that manifests itself in a multitude of ways. for example, the archetypal energy in play may deal with abundance, but that abundance will manifest itself differently for different people, and thus create different outcomes. the outcome will be specific to that person, their individual situation, and the individual choices they've made.

5. you really have to be careful when dealing with astrology and birthdays because of the way calendars have been modified over the centuries. there are many different systems one can use to study astrology, and all of them don't use the same metrics. also, as you go back in the study of astrology there's a lot of symbolism and esoteric references, which can add in the confusion. there are also many aspects of astrology that were adapted and modified as it moved from culture to culture. im sayin all that to say, just be careful and thorough in your study of the individual systems of astrology, and study their history and the trajectory of where they came from.

6. if you haven't in some way studied the authentic form of astrology, then you should wait to form a solid opinion.

I think many things In science people already can tell were obviously true but couldnt find a good way to prove it ..we need scientists with that kind of confidence in astrology to truely investigate...I didn't believe astrology til I was 20 years old and I thought "well if astrology isnt true im sure ill figure it out" so I studied and studied and observed people..I still do...it actually stop me from being a true atheist cuz I couldnt believe there was something this significant that went unnoticed..all u gotta do is focus..I always wondered why im the smart one in my family..its really cuz I was born a more thoughtful person lol [aquarius] which is considered the most intelligent sign...and once I figured out that I could pin point certain days out of the month and full moons and eclipses...It changed my perception on life...it also made me better understand my friends and family....

Scientists don't go into things thinking they're true. They try to prove their ideas wrong. They look for flaws. This is how to approach scientific testing. The way you spoke about it sounds as if they go in with a prejudice about the idea.

The points mentioned above by LeyeT make out like there's too much possibility of outcomes being attributed to randomness. Which is why it gets no firm studies on its side.
