Watched a segment today talking about the success El Salvador has had curbing gangs and violence.

Said it wouldn't translate to Mexico. Mexican cartels are the super powers of the gang world. Far too much power, money and organization for its govt. to take on like El Salvador

If he says he's fighting the cartels then he's dead tomorrow lmao

Ironically the way to weaken these cartels would be to hurt the demand for these drugs. How do you hurt demand for drugs? Study what drives people to use them, then put guidelines in place that have worked in other countries.

Why aren't you seeing crackheads strung out on dope looking like zombies when you go to Amsterdam, Reykjavik, Havana, or Tokyo? Because these countries invest heavily in their medical systems. They invest heavily in treatment programs to get people off those drugs and on access to health care to treat mental disorders that typically drive people to use(like depression or anxiety).

With less revenue the cartels will have to spend more money to try and sell to other Latin American countries. The returns will be diminished because none of the currencies in Latin America are anywhere near as strong as the dollar. They'll collapse as they fight with each other for the last scraps of revenue. That's when you swoop in and start arresting. Right now they have way too much money and can bribe military and police or turn them completely and use them as enforcers.

You weirdos love to make shyt political when #BothSides are actually against drug trafficking and cartelliate activity
One side helped them import drugs onto American soil directly into Black communities 40 years ago

The other side helped them reap enormous profits by open border policies encouraging human trafficking controlled by the cartels.

That is correct. For the most part the gangs in El Sal were shut out of the drug trade which is why they stole and extorted so much so all was needed was someone with backbone.

The Cartels are a different, They are transnational and a multi billion dollar organizations with armored cars and drones. They have comepletely corrupted Mexico.

It's like the gangs in Haiti except shyt is not as choatic as Haiti.

The fact that America hasn't sent in Delta Force to run wild like they did in Colombia kinda shows that either they really don't care or are complict in some way.
