I'm hearing a lot of silence from the Mike Dean ain't shyt side of the argument
What is your position on his impact or lack thereof with regard to the shift in the Rap A Lot sound?
As in Mr Scarface is Back sounds different than the Diary.

Scarface's changing up his taste in music is what influenced his own sound. He produces his own records fully, all hands on start to finish, like Iron Chin said. Scarface is a musical genius and deserves all the props he gets. So when Scarface says shyt like no matter what you make, you call Mike Dean to give your sound that extra then I believe the guy is important. Scarface sings high praises. When he says that the only people who can produce on his level are Mike Dean, NO Joe, and guys like Dr Dre...you know he holds him in high regard for a reason.

Is Mike Dean the main architect of the sound? Absolutely not. I never even claimed he led, I said he helped. Scarface and NO Joe said he helped. He has production and engineering credits printed on these albums. He is still a guest at the table but he was at the table. That's his point. He was there. The people he is responding to on Twitter were not. Simple as that.

Including the people who dikk ride artists who copied the Houston sound then ask who Mike Dean is, more people need to pay attention to the music from that region/time frame.
