No, Scott Storch has the same career arc as Mike Dean.

Yes, Scott had his run of hits he did - but so does Mike.
So you lookin' real funny givin' Scott Storch props and tryin' to downplay Mike Dean in here,
when there's a reason Timbaland said Scott was "just a piano man"...
you buggin b

scott a legend son was nice

nikka had a whole run that will always be remembered with hits

nikkas don't claim to have made "half the kung fu movies/mob movies you love."

Please stop.

cool :duck:

Well I'm Black. verified. Until i see them videos/pics, I'll just assume you're not Black until proven otherwise.

Please read this wiki entry on polka:

Polka - Wikipedia

By the way, look up the names of the people in the International Polka Association. See if any of them are not European (if not predominately Eastern European or straight up Polish) :salute:

Also, show up at a Polish party playing polka and see if they take you seriously. :salute:

Better yet, try to book a polka-playing gig at some Polish spot and see if they stay on the line longer than 1 minute :salute:

yes. Anyone can enjoy. But 'production' and 'ownership' is a different ball game.

It's actually weird as fukk for you to say this being that you're supposedly Trini. :troll: Trinidad is the leader and practically the owner of "soca tourism." And best believe, the Trinidadian government and its people are very protective on who gets to lead soca. It's their main export. When the Soca Monarch competitions started, it wasn't even open to Soca musicans from around the world. It got changed later to allow competitors from around the world, and still it's run in Trinidad. The "Calypso Monarch" competition is still limited to Trini nationals.

You really think smart people give up their cultural products like that? :dead: It has nothing to do with tangible vs intangible. Yes, intangibles are harder to control but best believe, people still control them shyts (or at least try to).

If you wanted to make champagne right now, you'd run into problems:

Champagne (French: [ʃɑ̃.paɲ]) is a sparkling wine produced from grapes grown in the Champagne region of France following rules that demand, among other things, secondary fermentation of the wine in the bottle to create carbonation, specific vineyard practices, sourcing of grapes exclusively from specific parcels in the Champagne appellation and specific pressing regimes unique to the region.[1] Some use the term Champagne as a generic term for sparkling wine,[2][3] but in many countries, it is illegal to officially label any product Champagne unless it both comes from the Champagne region and is produced under the rules of the appellation.[4]

Basically, if it aint made from the Champange region in France, it aint champagne. Anyone can enjoy champagne, but not everyone can make the shyt.

I hope that answers all your questions :salute:
I don't give a fukk about Mike Dean, I know he does sound design and arrangement....my argument wasn't whether he has classics or not....it was against the ignorant point of the lame ass hotep

you have a nice day breh

Gotta disagree. Storch is a legit certified "solo" producer. Had his own distinct sound and the game in a chokehold for a minute too in his run. There are plenty of videos of him creating whole records.. not just playing keys. Can't say the same for Dean cause his biggest joints have been collabs with other big producers.

Bullchit. I gave a list of songs in this very thread that are produced by Mike Dean...not "co-produced by" Mike Dean",
not "_____ played by Mike Dean" ...produced by Mike Dean. And fuccin' classics. His chit can stand up right next to Scott Storch.

Where did I say Scott wasn't nice?

What I said was he had the same career arc as Mike Dean, and he does.

Mike Dean does his thing but he seems like its mostly instrumentation and some arranging. His resume seems a bit pumped up....he is reknown for a reason but a lot of his credits aren't sole productions

lol. They really aint even in the same league to be honest when you look at how many hits storch banged out. There is a reason you didn't post Storch's Discography in this thread. $hits even too long to paste. His work with beyonce alone is greater than anything Dean ever created. Hell even Mario's "Let me love you" is greater than Deans career. Scott Storch production discography - Wikipedia

Game over.

Twitter's stupid. People say dumb shyt all the time. Music is collaborative. Always has been, always will be. If you prefer beats given to Mario over classic beats given to UGK or The Geto Boys then all I gotta say is 'keep that shyt on the low cause I don't wanna know.' Music is all about preference. It's subjective, obviously. Whatever floats your boat or finds your lost remote or gets your fancy feet moving I guess.

Gotta love the coli militants

Could argue that 35 years ago hiphop was for black folks only
but for the last 30 years it has been universal

And to the retard who brought up champagne, you don't even come close in that comparison.
Thats like saying if hiphop is not made in new york, its not called hiphop but its called "talk and rhythm over drum beats" :laff:

Nonsense. Chinese food is Chinese whether in New York or Guangzhou. Classical music is recognized as European originated no matter who plays it. It's only Black artforms and inventions that are "universal" F U. :pacspit:

Classical music is also universal. No one is saying that hiphop wasnt created by blacks in New York :wtf:
You are retarded breh. Hiphop is called hiphop whether its in new york or in afghanistan.

Ya need to stop with these false and lame comparisons

Go to hell, cac. How many Blacks you see playing classical music? Infact Blacks were pushed out of their own music, their own creation i.e. Rock & Roll in the 1960's. But being the innovative folks that they are, they went on to create Soul, Funk, Disco, Techno, Hip-Hop, etc

Primarily due to lack of White innovation in the genre, Rock is dead.

So, GTFOH with that "universal" shyt. That's how you culture vultures start.
