"I've made half the black music you love"

First of all, most of the hip-hop I like is Native Tongues kinda stuff, and he's never touched a Dilla track or D'angelo so far as I know, so.
But on top of that, Marvin Gaye? Uh, Al Green? Let me think, Bob Marley. Curtis Mayfield. Jimi Hendrix. The Blues?
Motherfukking Jazz?
Mingus, Davis, Coltrane, Dizzy, Bird, Lester Young, Thelonious Monk, Herbie Hancock.

How much black music throughout history does Mike Dean think he's been responsible for? Half the black music I love...okay that guy's fukking drunk

I don't have a problem with what Mike Dean said. He's basically admitting that he makes black music. He's not saying he invented the shyt.

Prime example of if you give them an inch they take a mile. He's produced a lot of music/gotten production but 80% of it is absolutely nothing that really stands out.

He's no NO Joe and like someone said even Scarface was producing better records than him.

His production credits are subpar. No disrespect to rapalot but call a spade a spade and far as Ye that nikka has been kind of funny in the light for the past 5 years.

Half of black music I love? This nikka hasn't produced for 3 6, outkast, the Wu, Jayz, nas, Lupe, mobb deep, ice cube, I could go on. Get this guy the fukk out of here.

The only impression he left with me is producing the worst mixtape of all time Designer OLD ENGLISH.

He addded added live instrumention on Scarface's The Diary and Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy but he seemed to think that he's responsible for those records. His solo productions are dull and over produced for the most part. He's at his best when be utilized as a Instrumentalist/Additonal Producer by someone actually has vision (Kanye, NO Joe etc)
Truth... He said some arrogant shyt, which is cool... but his catalogue doesnt quite back it up :ld:

No, Scott Storch has the same career arc as Mike Dean.

Yes, Scott had his run of hits he did - but so does Mike.
So you lookin' real funny givin' Scott Storch props and tryin' to downplay Mike Dean in here,
when there's a reason Timbaland said Scott was "just a piano man"...
These guys don't know about and don't respect southern rap.

I hope all the old heads who were out here criticizing Lil Uzi, Yachty, Dolph, et al. don't let this white boy get away with his slick remarks. This is a spit in the face of all the rap legends and pioneers.

00000000000000000000000000000022Gangsta rap was marketed and exploited fully by the prison industrial complex.
So, I take it with two grains of salt as far as mike dean and his tweet.
As real talk, all the rappers he helped had that sellout in them.
They now try to act like they were never a sellout or a culture thief. or some form of Mecca envy just for starters and currently he works with a buckbroke bedwench c00n, too.

Nobody owns or controls music. It's freedom of anyone's expression and once released to the world its free for interpretation and for any1 to enjoy.

You can't claim a race or culture owns a note, or chord. To think so, makes u jus as bad as dem racist slave owners.
There's so many things wrong wit this post:wow:
