He's not getting fired. He has a 2-3 year window of oppurtunity before he gets fired. The front office is all about stability, they're not going to make drastic changes in the coaching staff based on a down year.
Mike Tomlin isn't the problem. Todd Haley isn't the problem (they said the same things about Bruce Arians/Ken Whisenhunt). It's the personnel/talent....
-The team hasn't had a decent draft in a while, might want to revamp the scouting department. Some of the top guys in there are 65-70 years old. Get some new ideas in that draft room. They haven't hit a homerun in the 1st round since 2007. You can't just draft solid players, you gotta get playmakers.
-Gotta fix the cap issues. Make the tough cuts. Quit restructuring contracts, you're only making a bigger problem down the line. Ryan Clark, Brett Keisel, Troy Polamalu, Ziggy Hood, Larry Foote don't do enough to justify their price tag. I would include Ike Taylor, but due to lack of CB development, he should be safe. Same goes for Roethlisberger, due to lack of QB development, he's safe.
-Once the cap is fixed, they need to use free agency as a tool. You can't do everything thru the draft anymore. It can't be that difficult to attract free agents to a successful franchise such as Pittsburgh has been.
