At work reading this thread like . Im rocking with Kawhi on this one. Kawhi the only wing, out of everybody that is getting paid, that got his team a ring. He has been to the conference finals every year he has been in the league. Without Kawhi we would have broken the team up 2-3 years ago. People forget, we were done in 09. Absolutetly done. Had no athleticism. And now the perfect piece falls in your lap in the draft, and you gonna play hardball with him. Mind you, everybody knows the cap is gonna balloon in 2 years, so his contract won't even be as big of a dent in the cap as it looks like now. You don't start off trying to short a player that helped yo get a ring and wants to sign longterm in San Antonio. You will never be able to spend that money on a free agent, so what the fukk are you thinking. The market has been set already. If Parsons and Haywood got paid, Kawhi has to get paid. The Pacers drafted him tho, and the Spurs recognized game and traded for him. That's what the Spurs do, I wouldn't put it past them to find someone else should they not want to give him the max and he leaves.
