One thing I had to learn the hard way is to never tell anyone your goals
1. They are your dreams/goals that are unique to YOU. No one can ever see your point of view better than yourself. Someone criticizing your goals is just their interpretation of your perception. It's like holding a pair of binoculars viewing something miles away and they are giving their opinion of what they think you saw
2. Telling someone your goals is basically telling that person that you're not sure of yourself. I used to do this alot when I was finding and thinking what career path I wanted to go to. I would tell my siblings and friends literally every step of my thought patterns. Like I was literally looking for affirmation, "You think that's good right?"
3. You end up living to fulfill that person's expectation instead of fulfilling your own. Now you're at that new job or taking that college class for them. Any roadblock you experience is gonna feel like you're failing yourself as well as them. All that stress and anxiety for no reason. Keeping shyt to yourself and blazing your own trail is like driving on the highway with no traffic at sunrise, it's pure freedom
I'm the only one who knows my secrets to being successful, and it feels amazing![]()
and partially why I no longer have a relationship with them.Did you write this or link it? It's really dope advice. I'd love to reblog it. @UpAndComing do you have a site or anything?
OP
your point was proven by making this thread....
it took nikkas literally minutes to start telling you youre wrong and weak minded for how you feel
and i agree breh....i tell very few select people about what i will do...most dont understand and cant visualize it![]()

" without showing any genuine interest or following up with any questions...watch out for that person..i got motivational speeches on deck for any of my loved ones that tell me their aspirations in life
I just blog what I like. Motivation, random thoughts, pro media and pro earth. Its comedy/lifestyle a la a young black vagabond in Vegas. Pm me when you get a chance if you wanna contribute. I ain't ballin but I'll compensate.I just wrote this. I made a blogspot website of some of my writings when I was in HS. I originally wanted to be a writer for a career
What type of blog do you have?
DEFINITELY never tell your boss/higher ups your goals, if it involves you leaving the company or doing something of your own full time.
Had lunch with some coworkers and the CEO of the company i work for. He turns to me and asks "So where do you see yourself in years down the road?"
i hit the "well I want to continue in the position i am at now and get better and better every day."
but in my head im like "ima start my own business and GTFO here. Oh, and your old white ass is payin for lunch
"
