i agree but for another reason...some people will try to beat you to your goals. Especially people who are not like creative but they have money resources. They'll try to accomplish your shyt first just to show off or make you look up to them.

you could tell somebody you tryna open up an Apple Orchard and they'll pop up a week later on IG like "just bought this apple orchard "

I agree with the OP somewhat, when you tell people who don't share you same exact vision or who aren't in any position to give constructive advice will always find a way to shyt on you or wish for your demise.

Best thing to do is to find a mentor and have them guide you. A mentor has been where you've been and most likely help you avoid time and money costing mistakes that they made while reaching their goals.

Don't tell people your goals because they'll low key undermine you, either because they don't understand it, are jealous, don't believe in you, or think you're full of shyt.

However, there's a strategy in telling certain people at certain times in certain places what your goals are as they can be instrumental in turning your dreams into reality.

That didn't seem like a smart answer. You'd be surprised at who's willing to see your vision turn to fruition. You basically came off as someone who's unmotivated to do better. But you know your employer better than I do, but I also believe in what will be will be. If he wanted to fire you for having goals than so be it, maybe that's the push you need to make your dream a reality asap. Assumptions make an ass out you and that person.
