No other rapper, past or future, understands cadence as much as Drake does

Now unlike rappers like Nas who use pretty much the same flow and cadences over :flabbynsick: beats

Drake is a rapper who has pretty much mastered the aspect of flow and cadence to provide great music and memorable verses that are quoted on a large scale in hip hop

Some of his most recent and great examples of this would be songs such as

His last verse on Connect is also a great example of his technique in producing enticing flows and cadences to create rap melodies that bring emphasis to his lyrics

A more more recent example would be his verse on Beyonce's Mine song

This verse is just :wow:...Portrays such great knowledge and recognition of the importance of flow and cadence :wow:

Drake is a rapper that gets it and with each album realease he seems to keep improving in this area which provides us with better more musically improve tracks and classics :ohlawd:

Dude is one of those cats that people will appreciate AFTER he's gone from the game...

He's mega talented and has cross over appeal for days. So what he's half jewish? So what he's "soft" or however we label him...duke makes some incredible music and I mess with it. Hope he keeps it up, cuz he's setting the pace right now...

I fukk with Drake's music but let's not act like he doesn't just replicate the same formula over and over. It does make for good music but his new music replaces his old music and that's about as far as it goes for me.

Oh the irony of one of the biggest Kendrick hater on the Coli making this thread.

Please post the songs from Thank me later where Drake switches styles (his going from flowing to harmonizing don't count since he does it on every song).

Then listen to Section 80 and GKMC, both of which came out before Nothing was the same and see how Kendrick uses different styles over and over and over again.

You should actually thank Kendrick for helping Drake grow as an artist.

Drake is a good rapper but his subject matter is very limited which will always put him at a lower level in hiphop. Kanye West first 3 albums are deeper then anything Drake has put out so far.

Drake connects with people. First time I heard So Far Gone I knew this nikka was next in line. There was no doubt about it. Actually the first thing I ever heard was Best I Ever Had and say what you want but that track is godly. That's like a monumental record right there. shyt was perfect.

I think people just aren't big on the fact that a sensitive dude is on top and runnin shyt instead of the usual shyt we expect from rap artists. You know the macho alpha male type dude who pouts his chest.

But Drake just makes great music and let's be honest no one is fukkin wit him on the rap/r&b tip. That's why we love him. Cause he could hit you with BOTH. And he's nice at BOTH. I know you got some nikkas that wish he would just rap but then he wouldn't be Drake no more. He's dope cause he hits you with BOTH.
