I find it interesting that Mobb spelled their names the traditional way and SCC the way they did almost as if to avoid any confusion…just sayin

To those that have never heard South Central Cartel's music before, "Gangsta Team" off of N Gatz We Trust is one my favorite posse cuts of all time.

If this shyt don't get you hype, you don't have a pulse....

Like P and Havoc weren't in their own world. They were on some NY shyt. It's a fukking coincidence. They weren't digging deep into the WC scene like that. P strikes me as person that if it wasn't on some NY shyt, he couldn't give two fukks. Especially back then.

P was really closed minded when it came to music from what I've gathered. Hence his rants about "rhyming about some space shyt" which was a diss to Keith Murray and Redman's weed influenced lyrics.

Fast forward to the mid 2000's and I remember Prodigy also talking shyt about Max B's music in interviews.

His Prodigy impersonation LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. :laff:

He also spoke on this on Lonzo's show, said they confronted him and Havikk about it in Atlanta and although he was indifferent about the whole thing it seemed like it meant something to Mobb Deep; he was also adamant about saying they looked like lil kids lmao:

The first time I ever saw Prodigy perform live, the first thought that popped in my head was "yo, they look like some little fukking toys"

It was a a Beat Society show where Alchemist was one of the producers and he brought Prodigy and Big Noyd on stage as special guest performers. I swear, both them lil dudes together looked like little toy action figures. And this is when they were grown ass men in the early-mid 2000s, so I can only imagine what they looked like 10 years prior to that.

I'm 6'3 and can't wrap my head around how physically non-intimidating some of my favorite rappers have been when I finally got to see them or meet them in person. You hear all this tough guy goon shyt on wax and see them face to face like :childplease:

The odds are astronomical though. On their own Havoc and Prodigy are what they are but for two (plus one) sets of artists in the same game at the same time to pick the names as they paired up on two coasts? C'mon son.

Like BIG dropping Ready to Die on Sept 13th and Pac fulfilling that prophecy. Some things are designed to make you think when the Game winks in your direction.

SCC has 2 members of their own group named Havoc spelled differently. It’s not a super unique name.

What is the name of the 87 album?
Was it on a major label?
Was it getting play in NY?

The key here is whether they were big enough to have reached NY prior to 91 and be big enough that Mobb decided to steal their names. That doesn’t seem plausible to me, but I could be wrong.
You sound in denial
