gasol would be a great pick up just for the fact that bosh can mainly go back to the 4 spot unless its a close game but dude is 33 so u gotta micro manage his minutes. would love Gortat but he loves washington and he looking at a good 14-15 a mil probly and doubt he take less than 10. is the lowry shyt real or just his agent pushing his stock up?
nothing gets done unless the big 3 opts out so thats all im focusing on right now.

I feel the same. Despite my initials feelings after the loss and Wade's play, I realized that almost every single bit of glory this team has had is due to him and his sacrifice. He already left 14 million on the table in 2010. He's earned to opt-in. If that means Bron and/or Bosh goes, I'll be thankful for their services these last 4 years.

Plus, wade opting in might be a good thing in the long run for 2016. This article on heathoops explains it very well and in detail:
http://heathoops.com/2014/06/dwyane-wades-looming-free-agency-decision/

The Heat have a chance to build a powerful team in 2016 if they opt-in and there are no contracts on the books for that offseason.
:ohhh: This article made perfect sense of why Riley said get a grip to the fans, media, and Heat players. He already foresee a long-lasting dynasty ahead of us:wow: 2016 is going to be great with nobody in the books and a few draft picks :banderas:

In 2016, the Miami Heat might have the most cap room in NBA history AND draft picks. That's if everyone opts-in now and plays out their contract, along with signing players for 2 years. We would be naive to think Pat Riley doesn't understand this.

Idk about the 2016 plan. There's going to be alot of cap space but that's 2 years away, you cant really sell LeBron and them on sticking with the status quo until then.

We can sign old veteran and D-League players for the minimum salary and just chill for the next two years without worrying about restructuring contracts. The Heat still can make a deep playoff run with the Big Three. The next two years we should concentrate on developing our young players --Beasley, Ennis and Cole, and construct a new system offensive system. By the time 2016 comes, James will still be an elite force, and our young players will be well season, ready to make a run to the finals, and the Heat's management's will have the cap space to sign mid-level players that will fit into our system.

I can wait through the storm, brehs because I know 2016 will be a title lock and more rings to come after 2016:steviej:

We just lost in the finals after staying pat the previous offseason, you honestly think they can sign old veterans and just "chill" for the next 2 years :dwillhuh:

I would really like to see Emeka okeafor if he's cleared healthy on the Heat...he can get rebounds, block shots, doesn't need the ball to score, and hits his free throws.

Your not selling lebron on a 2016 pipe dream. Dude will be 30 in 6 months and he wants to win NOW. Wade is the key here. If he takes his money Lebron should look elsewhere along with Bosh. Maybe lebron looks at the clippers, rockets, or bulls. Bosh should look at dallas or houston.

I got no issue with Wade getting paid he should get that money. But he was awful in the finals and if he opted in it would be seen as selfish on his part for doing so.

Did we not went to the Finals in 2010 with old vets ? :sas1:
I dont think you (or most people) realize how lucky they were to go to the finals with the corpse of Mike Bibby starting at PG and a Center rotation of Zydrunas Illguaskas, Erik Dampier, and Jamaal Magloire. Seriously that team was awful.

Wade doesn't need to restructure his salary. The remaining 2 years of his salary is rightfully owe to him. He already sacrificed over 15 millions to form a team that went to 4 straight titles. The article perfectly broke it down why the Heat shouldn't restructure the Heat's the Big Three's contract. The Eastern Conference is still weak; therefore, we still can make a consecutive deep run in the playoffs in the next following years. If Lebron is impatience and wants to leave to another team to win more titles, that's fine with me. The King already had served his purpose in Miami. In 2016, with no max contract linger in the books, some draft picks, and empty cap space is better than forcing players to take a pay cut.

The east is going to be good next year barring any injuries.

My bulls are on track with D gawd coming back and possibly adding melo or love to the mix.

A healthy nets team presents the same kind of problems the spurs had against miami.

Indiana isn't going anywhere and will be a nice 3-6 seed you have to watch out for.

Charlotte will be better barring jefferson being healthy. Atlanta if they got horford back is a strong 6 or 7 seed. Washington will be in the mix as well.

There won't be a cakewalk to the finals anymore for Miami. Lebron wants to win NOW. He's going to go to the team that gives him the best chance for rings today.
