I dont think you (or most people) realize how lucky they were to go to the finals with the corpse of Mike Bibby starting at PG and a Center rotation of Zydrunas Illguaskas, Erik Dampier, and Jamaal Magloire. Seriously that team was awful.

I didn't forget how awful our bench were in 2010. Our depth was plagued by injuries. Some how and some way, the Heat made it work good enough to get into the finals. In that following summer, we were able to add more talents with draft picks and signed reliable veterans; as of result, we won two straight titles. Like Pat said in the press conference not every great team win it all every year. The great Pat Riley got this under control and will do everything he can to sustain the team. We shall not cease our faith on the Don Riley:lawd:

The east is going to be good next year barring any injuries.

My bulls are on track with D gawd coming back and possibly adding melo or love to the mix.

A healthy nets team presents the same kind of problems the spurs had against miami.

Indiana isn't going anywhere and will be a nice 3-6 seed you have to watch out for.

Charlotte will be better barring jefferson being healthy. Atlanta if they got horford back is a strong 6 or 7 seed. Washington will be in the mix as well.

There won't be a cakewalk to the finals anymore for Miami. Lebron wants to win NOW. He's going to go to the team that gives him the best chance for rings today.

Lebron has the right to leave if he thinks there are better opportunities. I'm not going to hate him. At the end of the day I'm a Heat fan, not a LeBron fan.

I'm concerned with the future of this franchise. I hope he stays so we can make a push the next two years but I understand if he doesn't.

So if wade opts in and it causes lebron to leave your going to be OK with that? I'd be pissed at wade but i would understand. Personally in my opinion you have a chance to become a dynasty don't let money ruin it. 30 years from now when wade is sitting in a wheel chair being pushed around by his eldest son he'll look back and say "was that 10 million extra i got from opting in worth lebron and CB leaving and leaving us with a lottery team as i missed 50 games the next season?"

The point is that Wade has earned the right to opt-in. He's given everything to this franchise and fanbase, including already having left $14 million on the table in 2010.

There are 3 banners hanging up because of him. The Heat have won 3 championships and been to 5 finals in the last 8 years. The Spurs have won 5 and been to 6 finals in the last 15 years. Somehow one is considered a failure and the other one is not.

So make him an executive when he retires and give him 15 million up front for the job. Wade has been a team player but his value is declining rapidly. Is he even top 30 after what we saw in the finals? He has to see that and sacrifice again if he wants to keep winning. That's my opinion

In 2016, the Miami Heat might have the most cap room in NBA history AND draft picks. That's if everyone opts-in now and plays out their contract, along with signing players for 2 years. We would be naive to think Pat Riley doesn't understand this.
Why would The Heat need to sit back and wait 2 more years to acquire talent? They have the best player in the NBA and 2 other all stars. I think Riley's press conference was just to calm the fans down and send a direct message to Lebron. That 2016 plan is a nice Plan B if D. Wade opts in, but it can't be Plan A. Maybe it was Plan A when they all signed up, because Wade looked healthier, but now they have to want them all to opt out and take another 5 year deal that allows the team to add younger pieces on long term deals. But if they KNOW Lebron is leaving, I wouldn't be mad at Bosh and Wade for opting in. The problem is Lebron is going to wait and make everyone sweat a little bit.

Yea i think that kid can develop into a defensive nightmare. He has the length to be a good shot blocker, but he needs to get stronger. Also needs to work on his low post defense. Love his upside.
I didnt know Kyle has already worked out for us. :leon: IMO Kyle is going to be that James Harden off the bench type of player. Can run the point of your second unit & play some 2 guard also. Never really saw him play defense. Does he move as slow on defense as he does on offense? :pachaha:

You have a list of any other prospects that we have worked out?

Do you think Deandre Daniels last till our first round pick?
Daniels will definitely be there at 26 because he's projected in the 2nd round in nearly every mock draft I've seen. He has a lot of holes in his game, especially his unwillingness to pass once he starts a drive, so I don't think he'll crack the top 25.

I don't have an exhaustive list, but I read two articles that listed Cleanthony Early, Jordan Adams, Deandre Daniels, Kyle Anderson, Russ Smith, PJ Hairston, Jordan Clarkson, Jarnell Stokes, and some other 2nd round prospects including some 7 footer I can't remember.

Jeff Goodman tweets a lot of this type of stuff out. He's a good follow on twitter. @GoodmanESPN.

I was going HAM when we signed Bibby's scrub ass too. :bryan:

Well then thats all the better for us. Nothing a little coaching can fix with Daniels. :ehhh:

Thanks for that list bruh, appreciate it.

Dwyane Wade is likely to opt out of his final two seasons, at $41.5 million, and probably accept a deal from the Heat worth $50 million-$55 million over four years to help the team open up cap space. New York Daily News

:ohhh:

:smugfavre:

If this is true, at least we know where Wade's head is at. He still wants to help this team win. Maybe Riles can talk him down just a little bit more. If not im perfectly fine with this deal.
