You could see that the 3 point shooting was going to be a problem without Miller, because Battier looked finished a season ago. They were dead wrong about Rashard being able to replace Miller's production too. And since Miller was gone, they forced the issue on Bosh shooting 3s, and took him out of the paint for the sake of spacing.
The draft thing will always be the biggest knock on Riley. I wish he'd hire some people that were better talent evaluators and trust the draft over past their prime vets. The Perry Jones thing was a no brainer. He was a huge talent that just didn't have that drive yet. They could've gotten that out of him, but they were on some no young players shyt during the Bron era. They also could've drafted Draymond Green there too. But let's not get too deep into that, because they took Norris Cole over Chandler Parsons and Jimmy Butler. It's sad to think about.
