riley got deng to settle for $10 mill per and a 2 year deal. battle-tested vet who can get you 16-20 points a night and play great defense. great move. now lets see what they do at center, if monroe doesn't happen i say go after okafor and let him and oden platoon at center and pray they both make it thru the season.
Deng will be motivated to play since he has a player-option after the first year.
Remember he turned down a 3 year/$30 million deal that Chicago offered in January.

Riley got his guy at the right price, without having to sacrifice that coveted 2016 cap space. Hopefully this either means they won't go after Shawn Marion or he'll be dirt cheap. There's no need to give Marion a Vince Carter type deal when they've got Ennis and Granger.
For the price, Kent Bazemore would've DEFINITELY been worth a 2 year deal. Riley was just too busy chasing Deng down.
And I hate to say this, but it's looking more and more like Chalmers will be back.
No to both. Before the Deng deal they didn't have enough for a max offer sheet for 1 guy. Now they've got to have less than $10 mil in space. I can't see any scenario where they have than $7-8 million left once they re-sign Wade and UD.
The pickings are so slim in the SG bin. I don't like too many of their options. I'd take Troy Daniels, but Houston will probably keep him. Francisco Garcia is another good veteran option. He's a decent 3 point shooter, and is great at the corner 3. I keep reading that Alan Anderson is a possibility, but no thanks.
