Is Pat really checking for Kendrick Perkins ? I hope the news is an actual rumor. Kendrick will have the us upset and rile up with miss lay-ups and bloopers This better be fake. because I don't think I could watch the team with Perkins as our center

Marion or Ariza would both be good looks imo. someone who can guard and take some pressure off Lebron on the wing. Take the place of Battier

for the right price and situation yes. However, I don't think we'll be able to afford him.

My ideal signings would be

C/PF Gasol or Okafor
SF Ariza or Marion and bring Beasley back
PG Lowry

Im down with all those signings. Skholnick thinks Beasley is gone. Heard him talking about on the LeBartard show with Izzy.

Also i would be down with the Okafor signing but how healthy is he? Didnt he have a serious neck injury, or involving some nerves in his neck or back?

none of the reporters down here like Beasley. He might be gone, be if I had my way he would be back. Ariza was a starter on the wizards yes. So this would take again some creativity by Spo. Say they can't sign Lowry, but are able to make a deal with Ariza. He could either be Lebron's back up OR you could have a starting lineup of Center, Bosh, Ariza, Wade, and Lebron. Similar to the late 90s bulls who started Jordan, Harper, and Pippen, with Jordan and Pippen being the main ball handlers. Wade and Lebron already for the most part do that anyway. You can also alternate defensively on who defends the opposing pg between the 3.

As for Okafor, yeah he was injured last season, I'm assuming he should be good to go this season. He's good defensively and decent on the boards. he'd be a good compliment to Bosh imo, and again Spo will need to tweak the defense some as well.

Yea they've been hating on Beas since the very beginning. But Skolnick was telling a story about Beas on the bench in Indy. He was all in everybody's ear saying(somewhere along the lines of) "if i was playing we would be winning, blah blah blah". Skolnick said he could see that it was rubbing Battier & the vets the wrong way. He also said that Bron was disappointed in Beas work ethic. But like you i would want to give Beas one more chance.

I would be down if Spo & Riles can convince Ariza to come here. The thing that scares me with Wade being one of our main ball handlers is that his handle has been shaky. He has some of the worst turnovers when he gets the ball. Some of his passes are lazy. Wade needs to tighten up his handle again. That would be my only problem with that scenario.


If Okafor checks out, then count me in on that move. I just dont want to sign him & watch him ride the bench the whole season.

Side note: I finally heard somebody besides us on in the Heatle fam talk about Spo scrapping that defensive system & changing it up some. Skolnick is on that steez with us too.

We will see if Spo will do it. After seeing how bad our defense was. Riley did say everybody needed to change including Spo. So we'll see.
