He shouldn't have compared himself to Pun also. At the time I remember that sparked a lot of debates and had people looking at him a little funny for that.

"here we go, a try-hard underground lame"Here's the problem with Term. He dropped an amazing song over a crazy Primo beat, rapping 5 times better than he's capable of rapping on a consistent basis. Then we heard the rest of the album.
That song is still a classic though. And I thought he had next too. Seemed like he was doing everything right.![]()
Nah. I don't see how anyone who likes hip hop could hate on Watch How It Goes Down. It wasn't like he was just rappin about rap either. nikka was actually sayin some shyt. No way can I throw a smug face at that shyt. He killed it simple n plain. My dude, as soon as he came out talking about how he was the holy resurrection of Pun, I was like![]()

If you see yourself as another nikka, you're gonna run out of things to talk about real quick. "Watch How It Go Down" is generic "I wanna be real hip hop". "How We Rock" is a way better beat, and at least the dude sorta flows on it instead of the try-hard "aren't you impressed with how fast and lyrical I am" bullshyt.

"Rapper that's lyrical slash Latin, political passed rappinfair enough. what do you consider some standout lines he said on that shyt?
"Rapper that's lyrical slash Latin, political passed rappin
With visuals past Malcolm and fittin to go past platinum
It's hard but I speak the truth inspired to teach the youth
The fire that heat the booththe high hat the beat the loop
The system it traps us in they tacklin rappers in
These shackles that pack us in the back and they clack us in"
"And that's the reason little kids gettin hit by strays
Cause muthafukkas can't act they age, before you learn how to shoot, betta learn how to aim.."
"We need new leaders but all we get is new heaters. "
"Action pack guns ridiculous
How they ship to us then we hit the bus
From Rykers to Middleton with life as a middleman
Spendin life illegitimate livin life in imprisonment.."
That's not all but u get the idea. I fukked wit it. He did that beat extreme justice imo.
It's not wack, it's just so cliche. and, he falls into the typical 'bars rapper' trap of just spitting relentless in one-note fashion.I mean everybody got they styles or whatever. Alotta Hispanic rappers fall into the Pun lane. I just felt he bodied the track and did it justice. Understandable if it's not ur cup of tea. But I don't understand how a G Rap or Pun fan could not be a fan of that song. Those rhymes plus that Premo beat was fire to me. Different strokes I guess. It's not wack, it's just so cliche. and, he falls into the typical 'bars rapper' trap of just spitting relentless in one-note fashion.
Not for me, I guess. I prefer "So Amazing" and "How We Rock" if I had to pick a Term track

I like him but at the same time I dont
first verse from Watch How it Goes Down was nice
I played the entire fukk outta this joint when it came out
A Puerto Rican dude from Massachusetts sucking off New York in a rented BMW with Jersey plates. Think about that. Terminology just seems like a bland facsimile of boom bap. He's like a one man hip hop tribute band.
And I agree completely.
