Should Men Always -- Or Even Usually -- Pay For Dates?

Me personally, I only date women who contribute to the cause. I don't condone close-fisted, tin cup-handed, "me me me" b#tches. I like oblation.

You see, real chicks bring sh#t to the table. Real chicks don't expect something for nothing. Real chicks like doing nice things for their dude on special occassions and just because. Real chicks date real dudes who expect them to contribute more than p*ssy, so they act accordingly because they want to keep said real dude instead of having to date lames.

Real chicks are used to winning, so they don't trip off dates. If a woman likes you, she'll pay for you....that simple.

Basic chicks want to squeeze as much free sh#t and favors as they can out of the dating game. Basic chicks barter sex and/or the chance of sex in order to get as many free dinners, movies and gifts as they can. Basic chicks never want to open their purse because A. they are cheap and B. they are usually broke. Basic chicks always have an excuse for being basic.

Basic chicks are used to losing, so they use the dating game as a way of upping the ante. Dating for them is a contact sport.

Chicks are a collection of their experiences and who they've dated. So, if a chick is real, then she most like dated real dudes in the past. Same for a basic chick.....she most likely dated thirsty, broke, lames who jumped through hoops and played into her mind games.

With all that being said, you can't be a lame and get real chicks, so that may be the larger issue for many of The Coli.

What I think the problem is some dudes don't bring enough to the table to have women competing for them and or they are punching way above their weight class so they have to overcompensate to compete.

Real dudes attract real chicks. Real chicks like to do nice things for their dudes because they respect and look up to the man they date. So, a real dude doesn't have some of these issues because his chick likes taking him out. She likes buying him stuff. She likes balling out on his birthday and holdidays. Oh, and she still likes cooking and cleaning for him too.

Real dudes always win.

But on the flip side, basic dudes attract and patronize basic chicks. Basic chicks always look to one up the dude they date and look to get something for nothing. Plus, these are the women that tend to cause the most headache because basic chicks tend to be broke, be beligerent and date multiple dudes for the sake of getting as much as they can.

Basic dudes would be better served in finding out how they can become real dudes. That means having a basic code, having standards for who you have in your life, having standards for who you date and being the best you can be.

But like basic chicks, basic dudes want to get as much as they can for as little as possible. Which is why they date above their class as you said.

Real shyt. Being pretty and/or having a nice body or having a degree and her own shyt doesn't preclude a chick from being basic. Having money or status doesn't preclude a dude from being basic. A lot of people think that looking a certain way or having certain things means that you have reached a certain status and that they thusly deserve certain things. This sense of entitlement/delusion is responsible for a lot of the issues in the dating game.

Y'all seem to put value on things that have no bearing on your relationship goals. Paying for a date has nothing to do with how a man treats a woman he's into. There are men who won't pay for shyt until he feels y'all are exclusive and will treat you like a queen going forward. There are men that will pay for everthing that will end up smashin' & dashin'.

And by putting value in what a man will spend on you, you are pricing yourself. And you wonder why men talk about & treat you like a commodity. Directly or indirectly, a man paying for you is going to act accordingly. When you're not worth the continued investment, you'll be thrown away, yellin' men ain't shyt.

You can't know how a man is with money judging his initial dating habits. That $100 he's not willing to spend on a date with a woman he just met might be being invested & growing for future use. But instead of finding that out, you dismissed him as being cheap. And that other dude willing to drop that $100 on you might have nothing but debt to his name. But you're too busy being impressed with his willingness to take you out.

I go by if they invite me to go out, he pays. If I invite him out, I'll pay. The last date I went on I got my money out to pay for our pitchers and he was like nah. It really depends on the guy.
