that is like being a rasta and not knowing roots reggae.
there is no way to be apart of hiphop for real, and not know this culture and its entire history.
that goes for all the mores/norms, history, social interaction, the pillars, music etc.
if you don't know that,...
you are not apart of hiphop.
you are just a rap fan at best........

Once again...who in the fukk do you think you are to label anyone? Like you're really sitting here thinking that there is a whole demographic of fans of the genre who feel that they must meet the prerequisites of Art Barr on thecoli. Man shut the fukk up:camby:

your bytch ass prolly aint even see yela's response

nikkas dont even have context clues too busy bein mad at the world ,

the shut the fukk up came from the topic of liking a song, vlad edited into the discussion about jamar's views on homos in hiphop, yela answered the question he said let em say what he wants to say who gives a fukk

and was like if a gay song was out

he was like u either like it or u dont, and macks views on homos, he was like let him say what the fukk he wanna say, who gives a fukk, and if its a hit record, its people that feel tha same way, so shut the fukk up

yela didnt say suck my dikk until his shut the fukk up vid got out and jamar beige ass got emotional, callin em imbred and shyt

u nikkas actin like he jus up and said suck my dikk for no reason,

beige nikka go off on a rant tombout fukk @Ultimate Warrior and everyone of his redneck fans. I bet y'all had road maps to ur little sisters pussies since u were 10

ima tell michael evans to suck my dikk as well

since he on it dont forget to gobble then snort it

Ok, that's my first time actually paying attention to the interview in total, and he was absolutely right the whole way through, didn't see anything particularly disrespectful and I agree 100%

Lord Jamal, whatever his contribution should not/can not dictate what type of subject to tackle in a song, his personal views on whatever are his and should be respected whether you agree or not, but him being black or even being a pioneer doesn't give him veto power over another mans means of expressing himself. That seems what yela was getting at and that's how I felt about it from the jump.

Not saying LJ can'r respond to that however, but I was under the impression that he was personally coming at him for the "white" thing when that doesn't seem to be the case.

As for telling an artist what is OK to talk about, he was out of line.

A couple of thoughts...

1. I'm not surprised people don't know who Brand Nubian is. I mean, their last group album came out in 1998. And I don't expect 90s babies to know about them because they were before their time.
2. Lord Jamar is 45. And he handled his points with respect and courtesy.
3. Yelawolf is 33. And his response really shows how much he didn't get it. Which is confusing because he did an interview where he talked about how white rappers should avoid using the "N word" at all costs...so I'm pretty sure he understands where Lord Jamar is coming from. Did he take it personal?
4. Star used to post on SOHH for a while as Troi Torain. Even when projectcovo died, he would still post on the front page news articles and battle people. That is...until a poster mentioned the comments he made towards DJ Envy's daughter and he stopped coming back. Personally, Star's fault is that he gets too beligerent and testy to the point where any point he does have gets drowned out by everything else.
5. I always thought Grand Puba and Sadat X were the better members of Brand Nubian. No disrespect to Lord Jamar.

If you watch the video he did "get it" and agreed, he just said that you shouldn't be able to dictate what another man can or can't rap about, you don't like the song don't listen to it.

And if he sounded dismissive about the notion that someone dare rap about a subject Lord Jamal doesn't like it's probably because that statement is fukking absurd.

how is yelawolf a "cakkk" when the love of his life is
Er7igq8.jpg
and they have kids.

The 5%ers come frm a MALCOLM disciple and they would spit on your racist ignorance when it comes to skin color.

:what:

A 5%er, bruh in the NOI, or any blackman with some self respect would spit on what that cakkk said.

I was responding to what Skilly said a couple posts above me in regards to telling another man to "suck a dikk." Purple, black, green, that shyt is disrespect, ESPECIALLY COMING FROM A WHITEBOY. I'm black, from the states.......Don't know where you from or how you grew up but I guess you wouldn't have a problem with that.

Love of his life n kids huh.......Slavemasters had a thing for them sistas also. shyt holds no weight. :comeon:

i just wanted to know why u said "cakkk" and used kkk like yelawolf is racist but has biracial children.

Uh no. Anyone who is a fan of hip hop, can express themselves any way they choose individually....and can listen to what they would want to as well. I love and live hip hop, and will also not let the next man dictate whether or not I'm a fan. I mean really who exactly are YOU and why do you have this delusion of grandeur to look down your nose at me? You think you're some sort of hip hop legend in your own right, but actually come off a bitter failed rapper who gets gassed up by circle jerking forum dikkriders.

I actually contribute to the culture somewhat by making beats as a matter of fact. www.soundcloud.com/tevansbeatzz

Let's hear yours:youngsabo:

you answered your own question....
you said you were a fan, of hiphop.
I am a bboy.
there is a distinct difference...
also,..i don't post music anymore on this board.
unlike you,...
people steal my work and parade it around like it is their own.

so, I won't be sharing any production.
you have a happy holiday....

you really don't know this culture like that.
if you did,..you would be respected like that.
till, you figure it out, and you will not.
as you are just a fan, and not aspring to be a bboy.
nor are you a distinctly about the preservation of the pillars.
you need to build before you question someone on point like me.
also,..since you denounce the culture.
then, that means you are a culture thief making rap production.
just like most of the simpletons trying to revenue grab using rap.
while not knowing shyt about hiphop.
then, wondering why they get nowhere.
unless they have payola to aid them in trumping the culture.

you are the only one simple enough.
to think you can culturally dictate, the culture to people within a culture.

I don't go to reggae or spots where ras, and dem at...
then, tell them how to be rasta's, or what music to play.

just the same way,...no toy should be trying to dictate to a bboy, what hiphop is.
no toy can tell me shyt about this culture.
that is why toys and these companies worked so hard to illegally strip the culture away from rap music.
so, a crank nikka like you could violate the culture and its people and think it's cool.
also,......
you still suffer from past tabling and need to check your emotions like the bytch nikka, you are.

now, go celebrate kwanzaa and get some holiday food, and stfu.

in ya mama bed
nelly was out of order saying he was number one.
when, in the history of this shyt and even when b-real covered, i'm number one.
b real went above and beyond to show respect to krs being number one.
nelly did not, and he also took shots like he was culturally aware and sneak dissed krs.

ignorance is not an excuse......

nelly was ignorant and got served for being the toy he is.

art barr

krs = number one

b real = notice where he gives props.

nelly = notice the diss and not props

Naa man,krs was offended over a line in that song that didnt even have nuthin to wit him & overreacted..and nelly really was number 1 so he had the right to make that song, without krs approval..lo key krs always hated on mc's that blew up anyway..he even dissed run dmc back in the day too

and as for the whiteboy dissin lord 5% jamar, im'ma tell u like this: JAMAR NEED TO SHUT UP AND GO HANDLE THAT IF ITS THAT SERIOUS

you see what happen to joe budden for speaking out against meth..lord jamar should go do the same, point blank.

It is pure simple cultural knowledge.
that, if you say you are number one.
you better be propping krs, or he will and should take offense.
even b real had a whole pr campaign, about this.
he even went on rap city and yo, to explain this then.

why does nelly get to act above the culture.

everybody was taking shots at run dmc for threading the line of going to far.
everyone from ultra, to even mc hammer and ll.

culturally, they had credence, to do so.

just like krs had credence, to smash on nelly.

also,..in regard to yelawolf.
yelawolf is part native American I believe, too.
how would yelawolf like it.
if someone who was not native American.
made a gay indian raindance record, and made its debut at an indian raindance ceremony, out the blue.

would said gay indian raindance song maker, live....

hopefully, yelawolf sees the cultural connotation he missed in his comments.
way before he got out of his body.

I like yelawolf and I like jamar.
yet, yelawolf needs to understand the culture aspect of rap music he missed in his comments.
as I am sure,..no one that is native American would give a fakkit a pass.
for making a mockery of native American culture.

just like you can not go to a reggae spot where ras, and dem at.
then, act gay in their venue and where they partake in their culture.

it is the same in hiphop..
it is just hiphop is disrespected and made a mockery culturally, as a pre-req in the media.
then, others think it is okay, when it is not.

America as a whole has no respect for anyone's culture.
as America has no prevalent culture.
yet, and still that mantra is completely and wholely wrong and disrespectful.

How much sense thats makes??

nikkaz are toys, breh.
the male bytchmade versions of the erykah sabu type, that is an eic vampire and ruining the black neighborhood.

You're smarter than this. fukk the interview. On Twitter he told LJ to "suck his cracker balls" and "shut the fukk up"
