so being on a rap message board, with folks that love to tout that they know the culture of rap and respecting it and how us young dudes dont be showing rap culture enough respect, you wanna pull out this bullshiit that yall not responsible for putting us onto stuff. but yall be the 1st to claim this new generation care nothing about the past.

you killed ya entire shiit with that 1 line

i see none of you dude pulling up threads on yall giving us atleast something on brand nubian or lord jamar to educate us new gen

I already gave pertinent info in this thread, about BN.
On top of over the decade and a half numerous posts.
On the cultural, fashion and content based impact culturally of brand nubian.
That indepthly go into what and how it is important to you.
Like I said,...
It is up to you to do the knowledge and look for it.
it is not my duty to provide it,...
Although, I go above and beyond reason to make sure others have it.

So spare me your bullshyt deflection.
How about you ask in an independent thread.
Instead of this false agenda based deflection, to try to narcissisticly paint a picture like we don't care.

Me and Sam[AIG] have never fronted.
If we did we would not have been here everyday for the past close to twenty years.
So, kill that noise.
You came to a board and did not do your work before hand.
when, i came to this community.
I was already actualized as a bboy.
Why did you not do the same?

why would you disrespect yourself and not gain the knowledge?

Im all for knowledge, but violence outside of self-defense is cowardly and ignorant. Lord Jamar, Chuck D, and other pioneers frown upon that.

not inflicting violence upon another bboy if you can help it is frowned upon.

Maybe you should write down everything about the Hip Hop culture into a book someday. :ld: It would be a shame to see all the original bboys die from old age and never share the info properly to the younger generation. Some b-boys act like the old black folks from the Civil Rights generation that refuse to pass down the IMPORTANT knowledge to the younger generation and die without sharing much.

Just write a book about it and educate the younger generation, as much info as you know.

Do you really want to be educated on Brand Nubian or are you just being antagonistic? Because if you do I can really help you..

I answered it you fukking nerd

No you didn't, I asked for some rules and regulations that you didn't just make up out of fukking nowhere, it's why you got so mad at me in the first place for asking a simple question, because you know you were going to sound/look stupid.

As I read through these rules I have to ask my self, who sanctioned any of this besides some nikka on a message board who obviously takes his "staff" badge way too seriously? :ld:

Rules to Hip Hop culture that people just should know

White rappers don't get to make any rules, they do as told
Batty Bwoy shyt is not allowed

You have to know all the elements to this if you really want to be taken seriously as an artist and a fan, and know the history. You have to study it. Listen to the people that came before you. Learn the roots of this shyt.
Being in Hip Hop and not knowing the history is like coming into another country and trying to live by your own rules and laws. That's not how it works. There was foundations set down before your goofy ass came through the door
Selling out is looked down on.
Biting other rappers is a no no

You gotta be willing to battle nikkas if you claim you're the best MC, you gotta back that shyt up

"Rule #1. White rapers do as told"

And this is the staff around here?
:pachaha:

And even as a confirmed cocksucker Mister Cee is more hip hop than you, as is biggie who is the GOAT (gayest rapper of all time).

Chuck D said:
It’s mind-boggling … One of the big discrimination areas in hip-hop and music is discrimination against women and gays.

Chuck D said:
I've always thought of Frank Ocean as an R&B singer... When people say that this is a hip-hop first, it's not really because he's not a straight rapper – no pun intended. He may be part of Odd Future, but he's a singer. I commend Frank Ocean for coming out and saying it, but it's not a first because there's plenty of black male gay singers. Even when they don't admit it, you kind of know. If you heard somebody like… I don't want to say a name, because people will talk… but like somebody in the Wu-Tang Clan or something, if they came out then that would be groundbreaking. That would be totally challenging."

Chuck D > you and Lord Jamal

The foundation, the elements :ohlawd:

Being well versed in anything you're involved in is preferred but you don't have to pass a fukking exam for this shyt. I could top rock before I could read nikka. This is INNATE.

*LISTENS TO RAPPERS DELIGHT*

Every last one of those :flabbynsick: biting, sell out nikkas have done more for hip hop than be 1 of the umpteen moderators on a message board.

Let's make this easier for you, since this was the supposed "rule" in question. What rule, regulation or even a comment from any noteworthy authority states that there is a limit to what subjects an artist can address in their music?

Based on Lord Jamar's reverence for his elders/peers I wonder what he would say about Chuck's comments there. Interesting.

Guilty of what? I never said I didn't like gangster rap but I like all genres of rap music. I find it ironic that a white kid says he loves rap that perpetuates black on black violence, but says Brand Nubian, which were more positive were "Corny, nobody cares, boom bap shyt". It says a lot.

exactly. worst part is, you got a poster who ain't even white in this thread doing the same thing. the same posters who go in threads and glorify shyt like their city has a higher murder rate like its an accomplishment will call the rappers who were kicking knowledge and empowerment of the black community corny :snoop:
