tired of mike woodsons shyt.
games like this makes me wish we had a coach like doc rivers JUST for the last 2 minutes of close games.
we literally have no offensive sets when it comes to the clutch...
if you want melo to take the shot...how about have him off a screen for once...for fukks sake
all you're doing is loading the defense up just for melo to take a tough shot every single time.
you know what the fukk i meant....not an on ball pick and roll...Melo waved off the screen. That's on him.
Melo waved off the screen. That's on him.
it is on both of them and mikewoodsonThank you....when the ball gets in Melo's hands Woodson has zero say.
Fast forward 6 months and Woody will be taking the fall for a first round exit.
it is on both of them and mikewoodson
we literally have 4 offensive plays total...and all of them involve an on ball screen besides the shyt where felton runs around and gets set up for a corner jumpshot along the baseline...
why not call THAT play for melo...melo may not be fast...but he's quick enough for that atleast...but no...give melo the option to run the obvious pick and roll where he could be liable to get doubled...or take his defender 1v1 (which is what he does among the best in the league)
I'm starting to think yal are just placing blame and not watching the games.

If I thought Woody had any real say I'd agree with you. Woodson was brought here to run what he ran for JJ in Atlanta. Ball screen-Iso. Post-Iso. Close games Melo is getting the ball no questions asked.
AS HE SHOULD...HES EARNED THAT...If I thought Woody had any real say I'd agree with you. Woodson was brought here to run what he ran for JJ in Atlanta. Ball screen-Iso. Post-Iso. Close games Melo is getting the ball no questions asked.

Melo and Woodson are bad for each other.
Melo's gonna do Melo and Woodson won't do shyt about it.
Melo's gonna be in ISO because he has tunnel vision. He wants that shot. Woodson lets him do it because if he draws up a different play to someone else and it doesn't work, Melo's gonna be in his ass (pause). With Woodson having very little imagination, they'll keep doing this til it works.
and some nights it works, which is why no one's gonna tell Melo shyt.
i dont give a fukk about that stupid ass article. elite players need the ball in the final moments.
