Based on poor starts, and an inclination to go big, here's what I propose Woodson does with the lineup:
Start Pablo Prigioni at the point guard position with JR Smith as the shooting guard.
The move to start Smith is easy, especially if you consider the scoring pop he would bring to the start of games, which has been an issue for this team. You would have three top scoring options on the floor at once in he, Carmelo Anthony and Andrea Bargnani.
But what do you do with Raymond Felton? You bring him off the bench.
This may not sit well with Felton, but so far this season he has not been effective for the offense as a scorer or as a facilitator. Defensively, he has struggled mightily, especially in pick-and-roll coverage.
Plus, he might be more effective in a second-unit look with Amar'e Stoudemire and Metta World Peace.
Let's get a better understanding of this. Raymond Felton is 16th in the NBA in "touches" per game, which is a fascinating new official stat tracked by the NBA. Felton has 78.2 touches per game, which is basically how many times he has the ball in his hands each game.
That is more than Carmelo Anthony (70.2), the team's most important player. It's also more than LeBron James (75.3), who is the NBA's best player.
Now, yes, it's typical for a point guard to dominate the ball. Actually, 14 of the top 15 players in "touches per game" are point guards.
But the question to ask is if Felton dominating the ball works for the Knicks. The statistical proof on offense six games into the season suggests no.
Prigioni averages just 41.5 touches per game in his 20.6 minutes per game. His numbers this season have not been strong (His Usage percentage, 7.7%, is second-lowest on the team and Per 36 he is averaging 7.8 points, 4.1 assists, 3.8 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.5 turnovers) but last season he proved to be very effective in running the offense and promoting ball movement.
Prigioni is a veteran of the European circuit and has plenty of experience running teams as a floor general. With the Knicks, his role is often inconsistent as are his minutes.
With a little trust and an expanded role, he may be what this team needs to unlock its offensive potential.
But considering Felton's reaction, that is a very delicate decision for Woodson to make.
Do you agree?

Felton ain't been playing too dope brehs

. Fact remains there's plenty of tension between shump, woody and the Knicks organization. We are backlogged at the 2 spot and faried has a high motor and gets boards.
