What is this infatuation with Shumpert?????? Faried plays defense and he REBOUNDS. He shoots over 50% he doesn't need many touches to be effective and he's the same age as Shumpert. Shumpert on the other hand is a career 39% shooter.

You're the first person who I've ever heard say "Faried plays defense"
I mean I'm sure he tries, but I've never seen evidence of him actually being good at it. And Faried probably shoots over 50% because he's not particularly fond of shooting jumpshots

The only benefit Faried would bring to this team is energy and rebounding. On the other hand, you're bringing in another power forward who will clog the paint so you can't start him, and you can't play him at the same time as two of our three best big men. Meanwhile, you'd like to give up one of our few ball movers who keeps the offense moving, and our best wing defender because he's going through a shooting slump.
Trying to shout "infatuation" doesn't make you any more correct about Faried not being a good fit with THIS team. Now if you're telling me this team is gonna be shifted around throughout the year, then I'd say...fukk it, let's do it. But not as a move to immediately improve our team.
