Its about winning now for the Knicks though. The fan base has no patience. The team shouldn't be going backwards. They should be a contender by now. A lot of teams got better in the east and they're looking horrible.

The owner doesnt have patience. What's annoying about the Knicks is- they're going to make money with that building regardless of how poorly run the team is. People will show up,celebs will always show up and buy 12 dollar beers. Dolan has zero incentive to change the way he operates.

He's got the media under his spell too. Francesa kisses his ass as does ESPN radio....the only guy that really give the Knicks heat locally is Isola, and no one reads newspapers anymore so it goes pretty unnoticed.

Ainge is gonna milk this and try to get as much as he can from the Knicks.

I'm thinking - Shumpert, Hardaway Jr, Amare, Felton and a Pick/Cash for Rondo, Wallace, Lee

This would be the Basketball Equivalent of the Red Sox / Dodgers trade.

2. The whole point of trading Shump was because they already have Hardaway Jr.

^^^ this. On top of that no way should the knicks make this trade until Rondo is back. How can't some people see this? by the time Rondo is ready Chandler will be back and the knicks might actually play well.....

Also on the low Melo was never the leader it has basically been Chandler but dude seems like the humble type not go out his way to show how much his attitude (IE will to win) is the motor of the team defensively and in some cases offensively.

If the knicks really want Love you say fukk it this season and just try to get into the playoffs to fukk over Orlando with that 2014 Pick and hold salary. Rondo is available in 2015 and getting him then means getting K love is a better possibilty. and Tyson, and Shump, could still be kept with bird rights

As for shump the only reason he is on the outs is Dolan & Woodson made promises to JR about starting this season if he was willing to play the 6th man last season..... Him playing badly is going to make them reneg on those promises and he knows it.
