So let's get this all straight before the season starts for the Knicks...
Last year they said the Knicks couldn't win shooting so many threes. They change the roster to be more midrange friendly, while still having 3 pt shooters, and we even add a young 3 pt shooter via draft, and they say we won't be as good because we can't shoot 3's like before
Last year they said the Knicks weren't good enough defensively... Shumpert is healthy day 1, K-Mart is here day 1, prigioni is likely to get more playing time, and we bring in MWP, and we get rid of two horrible defenders. But now we may regress defensively because why?
Last year they said the Knicks were too old... This year the Nets pick up three past their prime stars but somehow they are going to automatically be a great team. Regardless of how gassed they were last year in the playoffs, and having a first time head coach trying to figure things out.
They make a big deal about the Knicks losing Steve Novak and Chris Copeland (Steve Novak was the garbage time king last year), but it's not a big deal that the Bulls lost Gallinari, Nate Robinson, and Rip (to a lesser extent). Gallinari and Nate were instrumental in how well the Bulls did last year. Not to mention Hinrich, Noah, and Deng are all dealing with injuries.
The Knicks get indictments... other teams get excuses. I would be more annoyed if the Knicks didn't prove everyone wrong last year. I expect them to do the same this year.
