Name one positive thing rap/hip hop culture done for the black community as a whole? And please don't say it has created black millionaires. I am talking about benifiting us on a systemic level. If anything it has been complicit in maintaining the order of white supremacy. With that said I regularly enjoy hip hop but do not place my love for the music on a higher totem pole than my love for black community. Can you say the same?
I recognize that it is mostly cultural garbage and does not benifit us in any way. And therefore we are better off without it.
