I don't expect everyone to understand where I'm coming from on a lot of things. I mean I was the biggest Kidd fan when I was younger, and it was tough to acknowledge that he wasn't as great as I thought he was when my views changed on the game and I went back to look at the tape. I don't expect anyone to come around to this because really there's no backdrop to view it against.

I wouldn't take Lowry over kidd on ANY team ever. this raptors. those nets. the and1 mixtape squad. the yankees. I don't give a shyt. a dude who mentally implodes the way kyle is right now can never be trusted over an all time great. Lowry is out here struggling to put up 10 pts a game. going to the locker room to mope while his team needs him the most. we can talk about offense, but if you can't keep that offense up in the most important games it means absolutely nothing. kyle is a mental midget.

career-wise Kidd destroys Lowry.
in terms of just points, Lowry is 13.5 on 41% vs Kidd 12.3 on 40%.
even 3-point% Lowry 35 vs Kidd 34.
Lowry's defensive impact
Lowry does not play better defense nor set guys up better than prime Kidd.Playing good defense and setting guys up. It's why he still has an impact when he isn't shooting efficiently. I'm beginning to think dudes don't even watch the Raptors play on this board.

And that's fair enough to a degree, but you must take into account that he's playing against arguably the greatest Eastern conference team since 2000* and he's still dealing with an injury - Kidd didn't play a team as good as this during those Finals runs he had. We've already seen Lowry in the back end of the ECSF against the Heat where he was the best player over those last handful of games, so to call him a mental midget isn't all that true. He's shown he can rise to the occasion this postseason.
I've see Kidd struggle against worse teams than this and mentally fold. So don't act like he doesn't have his fair share of scars either.

i) The margin in their defensive impact is minimal - especially considering what version of Kidd you want to use
ii) Lowry doesn't set up guys as good as Rondo did either, yet he still manages to run a more effective offense than both of them. That's not to mention that Lowry is an incredible playmaker, he's severely underrated in that department.

The fact that you laugh at Lowry's defensive impact tells me you don't watch Raptors games at all. He's one of the better defensive PGs we have in this league.

Kidd had those type of playoff performances regularly.All this while Lowry is 1-6 FG 0-4 3PTS and has 2 points currently in the first half
