Prime Kidd was flawed but he worked around his flaw. It was not like Dwight insisting on getting the ball in the post when he can't score effectively in the post. Kidd couldn't shoot so he didn't. Despite this handicap. his teams ran a fluid offense based on Kidd's incredible court vision and passing. The raptors? Their offense is a series of isolation plays with a few picks thrown in. Lowry has a better jump shot than prime kidd, absolutely. Adonal Foyle had a better jump shot than prime Kidd. But I don't think Lowry has as much impact on the offensive end as prime kidd.

Understand, i was not a fan of Kidd. He's not overrated modernly like AI but claiming Lowry NOW is better than prime Kidd is tough to swallow.

Lowry is "orchestrating" an offense? Dude barely seems to be able to orchestrate his feet in the post season. He's not playing like a point guard. Kidd actually ran the offense, finding people in the right spots.

I don't even know what to say to this. Especially coming you. You're one of the more leveled-headed posters on this board.

I was very critical of Kidd back then, and on sohh, he was called 'Ason kidd for a reason, cause the only J he ever hit was his then wife. But in terms of pure skill, i ACTUALLY observed his historically great passing. Lowry is closer to James Harden in terms of his post season performance in most games.

I don't think anyone would argue that he isn't an all-time great passer, but there's a reason why Chris Paul can run a great offense (and isn't a detriment to his team's offense) and Rondo can't. I'll let you work out why.

It's interesting that you would ask for this since you seem convinced Kidd ran these great, fluid offenses and finding people in the right spots, yet all you have to go on is what you think happened, rather than what actually happened. Probably like most on here who think the same.

Lowry had a better season than Kidd ever did, obviously comparing their careers is another thing altogether (one we shouldn't do for obvious reasons). But yeah this version of Lowry is better than prime Kidd.

Coming from a Celtics fan, Isaiah has never at any point in his career been better than Lowry

Teague was regularly getting benched during 4th quarters for Schroder this year yet he's better than Lowry?

Nevermind that healthy Rose is damn near an oxymoron at this point, even when he was healthy enough to play this year he wasn't anything that more than an average starting PG
