Offensively they were comparable, yes.
But Isaiah's size makes him a defensive liability, something that Lowry isn't
Teams in the East during the Early 00s were trash, period. That Nets team was the 2nd seed with a 49-33 record, it wasn't a matter of them playing slow they just couldn't put the ball in the hoop, you had teams like the Nets with 2 shooters and a bunch of dudes like Kidd, Jefferson and Martin that couldn't shoot to save their lives, yet they made it to the finals...twice.
I don't like Kidd's game at all, I don't like any of these micromanage the game PGs like him, give me the scoring PG anyday of the week over a dude that has the ball in his hands for 18 seconds of the shot clock looking for the perfect pass.

looking at his numbers u wouldnt understand how good he was, there still impressive though... i remember watching him play for the first time and being amazed.

In the modern NBA, the type of PG Kidd was has no place, you go under screens against them all day long. His title runs were during a historically weak east, back when you could win the conference with 52 games.
