I ain't trynna live around no damn annoying neighborWhen I lived in Korea, eating out was the norm for me. I would eat out 7 days a week. Average meal was 3-4 dollars. Buying groceries and cooking at home was something special for having friends over or whatever.

Its not how you live its what you save
shyts not really adding up either. NYC, they demand ur salary be at least 40x a year's rent. $1200/mo -> $360/mo max rent, and thats in a city where u dont need a car to get around. General rule of thumb for buying a home is that with a 20% down payment you can afford up to 5x your salary (and that's really pushing it). $1200/mo->$14400/yr x 5 = $72000. And thats with American mortgage rates. Foreign mortgages have shorter terms and much higher rates cutting down affordability even further.
Not saying brehs shouldnt look into it. But brehs should REALLY look into it. I have family who have set up shop abroad after being here. shyt is not all gravy.

You're not going to find any apartments in major metropolitan areas like that with beach views & all those amenities for under a million in the US![]()
There are homes for guys like @LarryLobster on the beach for under $300,000 in a lot of places as well.

to her because she realizes how much further her money goes down there.Fully furnished 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, doorman building + fitness room on the beach for $413 a month in Santa Marta, Colombia. You can find even cheaper places that are right outside the cities, in both of these cases you'd be able to make around $1200 a month teaching English (25 hours a week), the average Colombian makes $8300 a year.
@blackzeus [.
i could easily spend a couple months a year there at those pricesYou mentioned laid back lifestyle in the second post I quoted not real estate and that's what I was speaking on. I thought that was clear guess not my bad but I don't disagree about the real estate at all.You're not going to find any apartments in major metropolitan areas like that with beach views & all those amenities for under a million in the US![]()

Where your recently built 1500 sq house will be under $100k and you can still celebrate your culture, holidays, family, language, traditions, technology, and pop culture and afford world travel without sacrifice or debt. No matter what cuisine or culture you are into, there will be several restaurants, associations and festivals for it.
You don't want a beach side view here cause Galveston is ugly as fukk. But with all the money you save, you can rent a beachside joint elsewhere for the vacations.
