I agree with what you said about Day's bars. They are bars for the sake of bars. I like that type stuff, but I recognize that it's not really a recipe for battle rap victories and building a relevant legacy.Head Ice talks in code, but very little that he says nowadays is immaterial, you just might not get the references. He is talking about his opponent, how he relates to them, and the difference in their experiences. Daylyt has a lot of well written bars about random things. He does a lot of the "lyrical exercise" type of shyt which sounds good, but isn't substantive in the context of a rap battle at ALL. A double entendre that has nothing to do with the person you're battling is immaterial/irrelevant. That's not substantive.
I understand what you're saying about Ice, talking in a certain language, etc. I like to believe I do understand most of that. Been around it enough to get a clue and I rewatch battles more than most so as to dig that stuff out. All of that said, I still leave most of Ice's rounds with the
. I don't think I'd call him flat out garbage water--soaked wack, and I understand why he gets booked in the undercard/mid event type battles. I just don't think he has bars like that.

breh, that shyt corny as hell
Hitman is a little too extra at times (MJ dance). Using his brother as a prop was always corny to me. He plans his moves while Shine makes it look natural.
