You never judge battles like clips, or goodz etc based on how good they came that battle. Yet you bring that standard now with jc. That's why it's hard to take your analysis serious because you switch your standards on how you judge based on how much you like a battle rapper or not. Now it's about jc not being his best that battle? How many battles have clips been mediocre in and you still handed him the win?

Jc has been better, but roc has been better as well, and roc is levels better than he was then, but who cares, if they both mediocre, then judge the mediocrity.

No you're not understanding what I'm saying. I'm saying JC has great performances. Not only was this not one of them, regardless of the standard I hold Jc at his first just was really an average round, he was just rapping
You could tell he didn't write his round to go at roc. Listening to it back it sounds clearly recycled. I felt roc had a good round and he had the only haymaker in that round. shyt like that weighs heavy for me. You don't really like roc but for normal battle fans that do know his 2nd round was one of those classic Tay roc 10-8 2nd rounds. One of those rounds that have hollow aiming to be the "2nd round King" now. Battle was over after that. You're trying to point out some bias but you're in here literally trying to give JC excuses for spitting recycled material. He wrote a round for Cyber Sammy and used it on a URL stage against one of url's most consistent battlers....and you're defending that That's crazy to me. That battle alone is why Jc was off url for years.

Roc won that battle man lol. He had more haymakers and more memorables moments in that battle. All I remember were Roc's shyt. Especially that 2nd round

What's hilarious is when JC tells Chess "I'm the best in the world" is you can see Roc with the WTF face

I might have JC ranked 1 right now (even with the Bigg K loss) but let's not act like Roc didn't dust his boots.

Edit: and the funny thing is once Roc clearly loses to someone you all (battle nerds, talking heads like Caps and Tony Bro) will be quick to downplay his run even though JC just clearly lost before coming to URL. But I'm sleep.

Lol I revisit that battle just for Roc's rounds. shyt still gives me chills.

BL 1 was the night of the performers. Clips,Ill will, Kshine and Roc got the dub over their more lyrical opponents. Kshine vs Yung Ill was prob the closest battle.

JC's first against Roc when I watch now is really not that crazy. Even without the recycling it's just a average round. He had some lines here and there. JC had more filler in those days.
