Lux still displays the same level of talent/lyricism, it's just directed in a different way. You're never going to get THAT Lux again, because of a lot of things (your own nostalgia, he moved on to a different phase in life, it's a different time/era, etc.), but sometimes y'all talk like Lux fell off or something lol. He's not any worse of a rapper, he's better really, it's just... different. :yeshrug:
It's different though. He's more wordplay/more layered now but back then he was a puncher and was on that ignorant shyt.

Fukk IT Young Miles/Midwest Miles is one of the greats...came back from the two dirtiest bodybags in history..

It's tough imo. He has shown dedication to battle rap culture in multiple different eras, and has made selfless contributions to it.

He hasn't ever established himself as a major threat in the battle rap world though.
X Factor had a period when he was hands down one of the best, there are people who think Cal is one of the best, Miles never had that. And Miles lil bro has more talent and clout than he does.

We didn't have BET over here ,so I hadn't seen Lux in ages
The 106 and Park run was a couple years after the Miles battle so you was good bro lol we was all in the same boat

I remember when everyone was wilding out over it on the old :hamster: message board

I'm actually lowkey mad I didn't really participate in battle rap threads back then lol. I don't even think I admitted to anybody that I watched battle rap until around the time of Total Slaughter, and probably didn't even start fukking with this subforum until around then. Before that the only section I participated in was The Coliseum for the LeBron and Kobe fukkery lol.

He faced Lux and Tech performances that would have been hard for anyone to stand in front of, he has classics with Verb and Rex, but also the stigma of Rich Dollaz being his only clear win combined with two of the most famous clear L's in battle rap hurt his perception

The thing about grey hoodie Lux is that he had stellar lyricism along with aggression/killing intent, so his bars hit harder.

As much as I appreciate concious Lux, I need that lost nikka Lux one more time in my lifetime.

Yall know what's crazy....the battle rap community fans and battle rappers alike we all turned gray hoodie lux into a gimmick and nobody even realizes lol

He need to get that dye out his hair and get that taper back....he ain't samson the strength ain't in his hair smh lol

Lux is willing to do a small room w/anybody...(War Room) as he called in the last back n forth w/JC ....so the million dollar questions are...will he bring this layered lyricism all showmanship big stage shyt?

Or does he really understand he gotta "get back on his bullshyt out da bullpen??? (Old Lux bar from the Cass cypher) all the theatrics get left at the crib....It's go time in a small room
