UDUBB can afford to deal with a somewhat empty venue and decent PPV sales imo. They aren't selling prestige like URL is. They just pop up a couple times a year & try to put together an interesting event. Also consider that if UDUBB or KOTD does a big event, fans automatically assume it's going to be PPV, since they even do PPV with small events.
Plus I don't think the people who fund Udubb care that much about profits from what I can tell. I'm sure they don't want a major loss but big returns doesn't seem to be their focus, as URL seems to be all about most profit while spending the least.

They name drop battle rap sometimes on Inside the NBA, Shaq has been known particularly to shout out Suge and Lux (obviously he's worked with them before). The other day I was watching Jalen & Jacoby and Jalen said he used to watch battle rap to get hype before games, and namedropped Mook, Lux, and Party Arty. Athletes, particularly hoopers and boxers, seem to be VERY in tune with battle rap, which makes sense considering the competitive aspect of it all.
Seems like majority of black celebs who on some competitive shyt watch it

But let them nikkas in the booth tell it :mjlol: nikkas still want beats

shyt i JUST heard Knxledge and Earl mix Brizz's bars vs. Showoff into their show on Redbull

Los might be better lyrically then a lot of battle rappers but that aint saying much on how he would react if his punches dont connect and the crowd not feeling it while Roc barks on him in an iconic second round.
Los was havin a hard time in a freestyle battle vs. Danny :francis: he's not ready for a real stage, better go the Mickey/Ab Soul route first

He just had a good battle recently, so he's more engaged with the battle rap world now.
But this is who Mickey is. He's pompous, he can't turn it off.
im not sure those 3 rounds were worth it :francis: he battled his homeboy on fukking KOTD and now he's got the whole game figured out

He would 30 Lux. :troll:

I know you're being sarcastic but this notion that Lux can't be challenged by anybody other than nikkas that been battling on Smack for years needs to stop. Stop putting this dude on unreachable mountain top. Every nikka that Lux has faced since his return is trash IMO. Y'all nikkas scared to see Lux in front of an actually killer or something? Smfh

That's facts, Mickey is really out here talking like he rides a magic carpet across the globe.

If you let him tell it, every idea he's ever given anyone turned out to be the most amazing thing ever.

But hey, if I can accept DOT for who he is, I can accept Mickey.
