I just saw this interview with lux. He really seems conflicted. He acknowledges JC is a worthy opponent, but he looks to make the big battles.
Here is an interesting question. Do y'all think JC is as hot as Suge a couple years back when he was chasing the Hitman battle?
Let's see if I can make an answer that makes sense..
I think Suge's run was better in that he was more entertaining and reached a wider base of fans, but JC's run is more conducive to getting the big look. The big look though.. It's dictated by the fact that the dude "at the top" is Lux, who is largely considered a pen dude. If, for example, Mook was active and he was the guy, someone with a run like Sug had might have been more likely to get that big look.
for the record, I largely prefer JC, but when it comes to the gully filthy street feel, it's marble against carpet.
I don't think so, at all. But the big difference is that Hitman was an active participant in their rivalry and was throwing shots at Suge at the same time. Lux clearly doesn't give a fukk about JC lol. To me, even if Suge didn't get as hot as he did, Hitman v. Suge had to go down at some point regardless. Lux vs.v JC doesn't really have anything behind it other than JC wanting to challenge the GOAT at what he does.

And that is why we are going to get 2 or 3 horrible lux battles before we get to him vs jc. Because it's all about the hype. Lux vs clips and lux vs ars are both every mediocre battles because going in, we all knew lux would rap circles around them.
Lux brought his best for hollow, because he knew he couldn't play like that. Hollow brought his best for lux for the same reason that is why we got a classic out of that one.
Lux vs jc will be a classic because jc is going to dig into a place he never went to go after lux and lux knows he can't come mediocre or risk dying badly.
Jc challenging lux on the strength of the pen game should be the best reason to make that battle happen. But you all looking for online beefs and shots in other battles to get interested smh. Well how many times have you turned on hitman vs Suge or verb vs swave, the all hype battles? Exactly.
That's not why Suge vs. Hitman was a bad battle though.

URL was litteraly a year too late.
They shoulda battled right after Rum vs Ave. no battle in between.
Instead they let both of them battle other nikkas and they had watered down shyt for eachother.
Just think about the amount of FIRE Rum Nitty let off just to get to Roc.

By the time you reach Roc the nikka has just given you classic shyt back to back. The nikka only got Nastradamus left right after battling Ill Will and Clips so close to facing him
Cause if he didn't win those you wouldn't have let him face Roc.
