the black cat is my crown...
one way or the other, trump's reign will come to an end... either it will be in january 2021 (please let this be so) or in january 2025... however trump's chapter comes to an end, his supporters will not just magically go away... they will still crave what it is that trump is feeding them.... how will republicans harness this rage...?

i was just thinking about what would happen if trump loses in november... he will definitely say there was fraud and the election was stolen from him... there is no way in the world he doesn't say that... in fact, he'll say there was fraud even if he wins... he'll just say they tried to steal the election from him but failed...

anyhow, if trump loses in november, claiming the election was rigged and victory was stolen from him won't save his political career.... but that narrative could birth the career of a different republican.. how powerful would it be to the wackadoodle republican base for some nutbag to come out screaming and yelling and frothing at the mouth proclaiming that democrats stole trump's 2nd term.... that guy would instantly have the base fall in line behind him...

don't get me wrong, i'm in no way predicting a republican resurgence in 2024 if biden wins... largely, it would depend on what biden gets accomplished while in office.... i do also believe if biden doesn't make serious and structural changes that benefit black people, the next republican presidential nominee is going to siphon off even more of the black vote....

i'm just wondering how unhinged the next republican presidential candidate will be... what conspiracy theories will they run wild with....? who is loony enough to lead this group...? how successful will they be..? will trump buy oann and take down fox....?

i think tom cotton and nikki haley are too tame to lead the "trump's 2nd term was stolen" movement... someone like ben shapiro could lead this movement (but he's no politician)... he's unhinged enough...

this is the thread to let your inner lib run free.......

tldr; what do you think is the future of the republican party.....?..

i think it will be loonier and more unhinged... i'm both entertained and scared at the same time... as entertaining as trump was in 2015 and 2016, i didn't think he'd actually become president....
Maybe.

Remember during the Obama /Tea Party years... They traded the pilgrim hats for MAGA hats.

They are really cowards that like to look important.

Most of them are uneducated and sociopathic.

When you say unhinged...it's more of the same shyt in a different package for me.

The Republicans will become more moderate to have a chance to win the presidency. The establishment has learned from their mistake in 2016 as shown by how Bernie was defeated. If the Republican establishment rallied behind a moderate candidate in 2016 and forced the weaker candidates out that split the vote I doubt Trump makes it out the primary.. he only got 30%ish of the vote but because the field was so crowded he was able to pick up wins

Lets say Biden wins as predicted.

I would say it would be interesting to see how the Bible Belt/Texas goes about it.

If Trump wins those areas easily, then really I think its back to the slow progress.

Lets say though that the Kentucky Senate race doesn't go to Mitch, or Texas is way too close for Trump. Then 2024 will be wild. The Democrats will slowly take on more Socialists, as I think the Centrists will slowly begin to form their own party, maybe.

The reason why I say it, is that, the Republican name has such a stain on it now. That is the party that all the Facists/White Nationalists/Racists will flock towards, fringe sure, but still that nasty stench any Republican will have to deal with in upcoming elections. Its one that will always drive away independent voters.

As long as voting is a private matter. They won’t change.

They’ll just wait for the Dems to “overshoot” and act like the alternative they want to act like they are to socialism.

Trump won’t be at any Republican events and will just slide into obscurity unless someone wants to pick the scab of going after him in court.
