Meaningful music = one's subjective opinion of a song with a message.

With that said, while the radio is filled with music that has no lasting effect, the people who sell don't fit that mold. The only true rap superstars with the exception of Wayne, (Kanye, Jay, Em, Drake, and we'll even throw in Macklemore and Kendrick for good measure) all have something to say. It might not be what you want to hear or music for your soul, but they all have a point when they're rapping. His characterization of top guys as being only about their own successes isn't fair to Kanye and assumes that talking about one's personal experiences like Em, Jay and Drake have no value. Note: I'm not saying all this music is good, I'm just talking about it topically.

It's crazy how this whole thread is out of context with the original one. The irony is that this is the exact reason why our music is in the state that it's in. Shock value and the dilution of the original message

Others make a whole lot of nonsense: “Hip-hop food”? “Hip-hop politics”? “Hip-hop intellectual”? And there’s even “hip-hop architecture.” What the hell is that? A house you build with a Hammer?
Googles hip hop food :ohhh:

To get sponsorship for a feed the homeless tour , to travel across America and feed the homeless. Always be a positive role model for the youth and have a great impact on healthy eating. To team up with Iconic figures like Dr. Ben Chavis, Kevin Liles, Russell Simmons, Raekwon the Chef , Hip Hop Caucus and to be part of the Hip Hop Summit Network.

In addition to a good taste in cooking recipies, the Chef has a good taste in style. He is often found wearing his trademark look of a fitted baseball cap, signature sport coat jacket with “The Hip Hop Chef” embroidered, the number 82 on the jacket in dedication of his grandmother, and other urban apparel such as an Adidas track jacket and shell toe tennis shoes. You might even catch him sporting his rope chain.
As Paul Wall stated in an article in XXL Magazine, “It’s good that we have our own chef that cooks what we like to eat and represents us.”
