Wanting to fukk someone and wanting to be someone's friend isn't mutually exclusive. If it is then why are fukk buddies called "buddies?"


If you have a woman that you have a casual sexual relationship with that you kick it with...then the broad is your friend.

All relationships are based on a figurative contract. There are certain factors both parties must adhere to in order to keep the relationship viable. Thus, just because you fukk with someone because they well fukk you doesn't mean you aren't friends. Albeit very situational and shallow friends.


So why would sexual desire forfeit friendship?

Now i'm not trying to suggest it's a healthy or wise relationship. But it is still a relationship.

Well for starters the word "friends" and it's many variations are overused and misused. Every person you kick it with is not your friend. Every person you hang out with from time to time is not your friend. Wanting to fukk and being friends are mutually exclusive because wanting to fukk trumps friendship. Therefore if a person wants to fukk another person their actions will be colored by this desire and thusly it's not real friendship. You aren't hanging with them because you enjoy their company or like their personality or have a genuine connection...you are doing so in hopes that it's gonna get you closer to your actual goal...them drawls. Sex and friendship can only co-exist when both parties are honest (with themselves and each other) and getting what they want out of the deal i.e. a relationship. Most of these "friendships" are just fronts for people being used one way or the other.

It's definitely not common and a lot of women are naive.
I've had one female "friend" and we still ended up getting intimate one night at my house.
She made the first move but something still happened after years of platonic friendship and her supposedly being a lesbian.
You can almost be certain at least one of you will take it there if the opportunity presents itself eventually.

My best friend is a guy, but we initially met romantically and have tried to date a few times in the past. I ended it both times saying I preferred being friends. He crosses the line frequently with jokes (when I'm single) but he's respectful when I'm in a relationship. We've been friends for 10 years, but I do find his jokes annoying. I said something to him about it once and he stopped for a bit but seemed really hurt about it. I felt so bad about hurting his feelings that I haven't said anything again- I just usually ignore the jokes now.

I lightweight think he's secretly in love with me.

Eta: So yes, based on the above I would agree that strictly platonic male friends are rare.
