I understand the ride or die chick. But this seems like all of this took place in the 1st year. That's not ride or die, thats having low self esteem/don't want to be alone.

While this case may be an extreme example of a woman supporting a man on down times it is still refreshing to see a woman invest in a man for once. So many times black women tend to go for the finished product with limited upside over the man that is still developing with a much higher ceiling. For a woman to have the foresight to see past that is very admirable and inspiring to someone like me who is still on the come up myself. She deserves the world from him and he better not ever do wrong by her.

Its not the job of a woman who has no blood relations to him to build him up. Where is his mother? Where is his family? If he doesn't have family, I still dont encourage shyt like this because even if he does get married he will later resent her for hovering and constantly saving him, making him feel less of a man.
