It appears that duplicity is being passed off for altruism. The Chinese are not the innocent benefactors that they pretend to be, not in this situation.
While the Chinese men marrying these Ugandan women can become citizens of Uganda, China does not allow foreigners to become citizens. To reiterate, none of the wives of these Chinese men would be allowed to legally work in China. This one sided exchange benefits the Chinese but not the Ugandans. The solution is simple, and that is to prevent these men from becoming citizens by marrying these women. It is after all the policy of China.
Instead, allow these Chinese men to get an extension to stay in Uganda, under the condition that they train Ugandans to work these jobs. They should get two terms in order to train Ugandans two Ugandans per term. If the first pair is not sufficiently trained, they should not be allowed to stay. If both pairs are trained they should be allowed to return after a hiatus, under the condition that they train more Ugandans.
For those of you whom are not aware, China has a track record of manipulating and disenfranchising Africans.
